  1. I dunno what it is about the word brace or bracing that always makes me think ‘You mean I’m not going to enjoy this’
  2. I have a pop up gazebo with sides but do you think it’s possible to warm them up with a heater when the air temperature is significantly lower outside?
  3. Me too. I’ve decided that this time next year I’ll be in Spain. Hopefully for extended periods in rented accommodation until I find my feet but if the market hasn’t bottomed out at the very least a few weeks on and off though out the winter. Still thats not cheering me up right now, although the idea of annoying everyone posting sunshiney ride pics on here is
  4. I had planned I’d be outside for the ventilation and do it the day after it’s been raining to keep contaminants down. Perhaps I should wait for the summer but then again there’s more insects about. Sounds like I might have to polythene sheet a room and do it inside but it seems an awful lot of hassle. @dynax what do you use when sheeting a room for your dead bodies?
  5. I never saw the attraction in model railways but I’m really enjoying all the little additions you’re making. Any chance of a pic of the whole thing? Maybe you have a before n aft?
  6. I’ve read the minimum temperature you should spray rattle cans at is 10 degrees but the warmer the better (up to 30 *) if you want to avoid orange peel and get a smooth finish. Does anyone have any experience of spraying cans at lower temperatures? It supposedly not raining and 12 degrees next week, is this warm enough?
  7. I have just unwittingly thoroughly depressed myself. I opened the weather app to see when this promised uptick in temperature is occurring (with a view to saving necessary chores for two wheeled weather) to view the most exciting forecast I’ve ever seen in February. For a brief moment until seeing the temps and realising this can’t be Blighty I was ecstatic. God I hate myself right now!
  8. NHS staff’s dream. No massive unnecessarily detailed back story, no axe to grind, just did something dumb, fix ‘em up send ‘em back out to do the next one!
  9. All hospital visits have a story attached... usually a long long highly detailed story
  10. Hmm I think you might be inline for daughter of the year cos I’d of declared it can’t be done without new worktop
  11. When I’m feeling brave I’ll take a photo of the worse parts of the utility flooring I have to replace. The washing machine had been leaking silently out there until so much damage was done once dried the laminate top just peeled away, no-one likes going out there. You mums kitchen sounds a pig of a job, sure you can’t talk her into new worktop?!
  12. ooh the excitement, prepare for odd outer body/alternate universe feeling
  13. Bet that gravel needs tending to, the moss however that’s good stuff.
  14. Anything in its natural habitat that doesn't require any attention, lovely.
  15. Urgh stuff that needs looking after, I’m done with it!
  16. @stedebs what is you expertise in the kitchen arena? I maybe in need of brains to pick
  17. Dont say that Ive got new kitchen flooring stacked up waiting to be laid and I dont want to start! Id ignore it completely if I could but the oven is starting to drop through the floor!! Hopefully your mum and son are showing a wee bit of gratitude?!
  18. The paddling I could handle, doing it in the cold for 2 hours I definitely could not
  19. ‘The sensible lightweight’ nope it just doesn't fit
  20. Yes all the fields here are both sodden and slightly frozen. The dew point makes a difference too because theres still moisture waiting to be frozen. Although Id imagine the dew point is out of range for that to happen at the moment.
