  1. Vito is the direction I was heading in. But then I should probably wait and see if I have any income left after Covids finished raging.
  2. Also no dishwasher nooooooooo
  3. Every wash? I thought descaler had to go in on its own?
  4. Week three with a leaking intermittently working washing machine and no dishwasher. Flooring is wrecked. Repair man says parts n labour £300 for washing machine (as has multiple things wrong) and he’s not prepared to guarantee that’ll fix all of the faults either. Dishwasher repair £220 making a grand total of Going to cut my losses on the washing machine as it’s at least 15 years old and given its averaged 2-3 loads a day during that time and shamefully has never so much as seen a sniff of descaler I think it’s done for. My appliance maintenance is non existent. How often are you supposed to chuck washing machine cleaner in a washing machine and what stuff do you use?
  5. I want a van with a magic snow button. What van contains said magickery?
  6. They still do it here and when you eventually gesture that you need them to move (after giving them more than enough courtesy time) they get stroppy with you!
  7. I don’t think weston, the Mendips or cheddar are much better tbh. Although I have also noticed that a lack of clusters of mamils has made cheddar and Burrington Coombs a lot better place to drive through.
  8. You are an unusual person for sure, it’s certainly a USP. If you n Trooper get together n form the chainsaw and corpse pic company I could see a market for you there. Forgive me if I skip the launch party
  9. No me neither but theres art in decay and the taboo surrounding the human body’s decay is an interesting area.
  10. Very interesting. Mind you mistakes do still happen when certifying death. Its rare someone wakes up in the hospital morgue but it happens. Sometimes folk understandably cant stand being on a ward with a dead body behind the curtain but I was always happy to wait for a bit of rigor mortis for confirmation!
  11. Perhaps you can post some of the leftovers to @NeilM his dog likes roast chicken
  12. The ‘feels like’ temperature down here this week is -6 to -8 As it’s not biking weather you can bet your arse this will be the week full of emergency returns!
  13. Thats good value. Need new lighting in a unit. Might give them a go
  14. The Suzuki looks child size?! Can you do my boots at the same time?
  15. When I wanted a workroom room lit to brightish daylight levels I emailed lightbulbs direct and I dunno if I got lucky or they’re normally really helpful but I gave them the room dimensions and they emailed back the number of lumens per square metre (so I knew the number of fittings) and a link to the best lightbulbs for the job which were expensive but are now 15years old!
  16. So how did you achieve this cos it looks like less bulb and more light?
  17. I’d wager there’s more than one or two folk on here that would find a pair of speedos disappearing like dental floss.... find your flak jacket
  18. I think you’ll find they are those plastic overknickers toddlers have to wear when swimming
  19. Nostalgia makes my cheap as chips mini of 25years ago the best care Ive owned. Realism makes it an automatic Mercedes.
  20. Fancier than toad in the hole though! But then food cooked by someone else always has the edge- even if not on taste
  21. Other sons cooking sunday lunch today so an unsual one of toad in the hole n mash potato! Definitely not the weather for spraying a helmet. Damn it. Have to decide on another project to tide me over until the weathers better.
  22. Yes you’ve always given us that impression...
  23. Better leave some sun glasses in there
  24. Wot with ur profession I would have thought the language fisherman’s wives would have sounded homely
