1. Yep I agree MP84 I also think if you’re brave enough to post your epic helmet grazing glide on here you’re brave enough to ace any poxy (aka extremely fussy, demanding, easy to fail) motorcycle test without concerning yourself about the tough stuff you are. Go for it, we need you (would display WW2 poster with strong arm woman here but don’t seem to have any to hand) and I look forward to seeing your shiny new helmet on the road
2. I can’t count the tears and disruption the evil MIL has caused. If I recounted the worse of it you’d be wondering what sort of person I was putting up with that sh*te. Weak I am not. Racism and sexism are norms for her, I’m talking full blown assaults on your character and choices. The last example sneaked out sideways to friends n family “I feel sorry for the boys having a mother like that” “What?” says her audience, she says “You know alcoholic” I wouldn’t mind so much but I’m no big drinker (it’s too hard to parent well and booze at the same time) but what easier way to slur someone’s character?!?! I think that may have been because both of my sons are well received and oft praised by others as kind and hard working where as her other grandchildren are a bit feral- I’m not anti feral just anti bitch. The only nice thing that ever happened over the last 30 years is her husband (my father in law) said when we were alone “the thing is I’ve noticed is that the better the woman is the more other women want to tear her down” Funny moments- none. Just increased agrivation as the weird Hyacinth Bucket moments of desperate social climbing slip through her fingers while watching me somehow go through with a bit of humour- it all grates on her clenched jaw.
3. I’ve not tested them to the max but the Knox rainwear I have (and Mr Slowly has) has been superb over the top of normal gear. Not that I’ve tested it extensively mind you cos the extreme Safari Suit is a super heating all in one. Got Mr Slowly one for Christmas
4. Oh yeah a definite welly wearer. Given your currently known predilections I wouldn’t like to comment on how fit. I’ll take a snap next time I see her stirring her cauldron in the field and you can decide for yourself if the silver surfer things for you
5. Everyone should wear whatever they want. I am however a little green eyed that you can at least spend time with your father in law. I haven’t seen or spoken to my MIL for over two years and we live next to each other, I live at the top of the field and she lives at the bottom. I see her out the window walking the dogs occasionally and sigh that she’s looking pretty fit and find myself wishing she’d just shuffle off. Not nice. Wish we could go for lunch and be civil but she’s just not capable.
6. Oh no Don’t beat yourself up over it, mod 1 is a weirdly intense process. Sounds like you’re concussed, check your pupils are equal and reactive to light. If you vomit go to A&E. If you are concussed be careful driving etc for the next couple of days or so. Better luck next time.
7. I’d like to do the pub ones again
8. Tight Lycra cycling gear soaked in sweat and a thick layer of white zinc sunscreen always seems to go down well especially during the summer when fly have committed suicide in it and your face looks like a sh*tty piece of fly paper. Wrong time of year for the latter part but I suppose you could raid the collecting tray of a UV bug zapper and strategically place some fat ones here n there.
9. If it was a grassed banked road there maybe some in the soil. Glad you’ve made it through the surgery alright. Hope you’re recovered in time for next years sprint association races.
10. Oh that’s not great news, you’re alive to tell the tale though which is good and in a recoverable state Still not a nice thing to happen, sorry about your bike.
11. The mavic will. But mine is the original so will likely crash into something... It all sounds rather pricey
12. Aaw common’ what’s snot to like? Ok that’s such a low bar it wouldn’t even get into a cracker. I’m off to watch the BBC’s Dynasties lion programme and see if that lion holds onto his danglies or if the pack of hyenas get him.... hmm it sounds like a forum
13. Hoggs It’s more a Hokey Cokey style, You put your front wheel here Your back wheel there In out in out shake the bike about Unsurprisingly there’s a wide berth around me on a BMW or a skinny 125 -while I take up the whole road I’m going to pretend it’s tactical.
14. That’s not the bike it’s the way I ride it
15. Me too unless the road 50metres wide
16. emmajaneg how’s it going? Have you decided yet whether to hang fire til spring or has the burning desire to get another bike (and the need to get to college ) won out? When you get another bike now or after crimbo sometime remember to post a pic here so we can all enjoy your triumphant return
17. Well I didn’t expect that. Pesky car drivers. Some car drivers don’t think they have to indicate- conversation with my mother at a roundabout where she was going right- Me gently- “You should indicate at a roundabout” My mother- “Why I know where I’m going” They say the harder you have to try to get something the more it means when you get it. One of the forum members (soz can’t remember who) said only people who’ve been through it understand it. The tests you have to do are hard, pressurised and when a berk of a driver is involved also unfair so it will be so much sweeter when you get it.
18. Great footage Is there a drone you can set to follow you from a set distance? I think a saw a bike (bicycle) gadget geek reviewing one.
19. BIKERDAD Nice one You score higher for getting it on someone else but lower for it not being your fault. Hope the schnoz is doing all right now. The human body is such an unpredictable uncivilised thing!
20. Go for it. I worked for an institution and if you had someone that wasn’t up to standard it was really hard to do anything about it without a complaint, really you needed multiple complaints to get rid of them but yours might just be the straw that breaks the camels back!
21. Six30 where do you find these pics, they’re just brilliant lol
22. I've never heard of anyone who has passed with that guy... Putting this in different words: Every time I hear someone complaining about Enfield, it's about him. The only problem is that the complaint system requires way too much personal information, even your driver license reg number! I was about to make a complaint on him, but gave up when I saw that... Pass and then complain, he really shouldn’t be allowed to continue wasting people’s time and money let alone the distress it causes.
23. They’ll get their comeuppance, people like that don’t have long. Glad you squeezed through unscathed.
24. There is no possible explanation that can make that ok or any of the other poo food items mans prepared to eat.
25. Yep I looked oh so classy
