1. And then called the process ‘flocculation’ which makes the whole thing sound very fishy...
2. Surely if the guy really is this awful an official complaint is the right thing to do? We had a driving examiner down here that never passed anyone, eventually they got rid of her for not being up to standard. This guy sounds like he needs his boses to give him a closer examination
3. Me today had a nice little trundle about the place and pulled up at the lights, a guy pulled along side me and says “that looks amazing, I love it, it just looks great” I reply “aah thanks” and we have a brief exchange about the bike before the lights change. I’m feeling a little buoyed up by his enthusiasm and this lovely little encounter when for the first time in donkeys I go to pull away and stall my bike in first so violently that for a brief moment I thought it’s going down, this didn’t concern me for long though as the force of the stall catapulted a huge amount of snot out of my nose over my face.... I’m not sure which one of us was more horrified.... not feeling so cool now eh!
4. Get a new boyfriend, I think the girls had enough heartbreak for one day
5. Yeh, what SCM said..... but please, please, don't go down the CC route.... these "people" are little better than vampires.... once the teeth are in, game over. I'd think seriously about getting a doer-upper. Oh, and to the smug ars*hole who made the comment about council estates, we aren't all thieving scumbags. If you look at most Tory politicians, not many of them came from council estates, but........ Lol
6. Oh no that’s awful. I feel for you I’d be devastated if someone nicked my bike. Inanimate objects often mean a lot more to us than the money they cost. Jewellery is a good example, people are devastated when that’s nicked. As Fozzie said it represents more than just a thing. And after you’ve just got your lovely gear sorted too. Such a shame. I’m with fastbob on the getting into debt thing but if finance is the only way to go to get you back on the road then I’d probably go down that route too. Be aware of the different APR’s available, if you’re not careful you can end up paying more than the original item cost. Check out loans as well- John Lewis is offering 2.8% (depending on your circumstances that is) which is much better than a credit card.
7. Yes how does one join the motorcycle ram force? Looks like death defying fun.
8. Yep definitely neat. There’s a few Im gonna need to test ride, will add it to the list. I’m going to have to sacrifice something and I’m guessing weight is the easiest thing to throw out of the window but I’m also wondering if a lower cc is going to be something I’ll be happy with over distance If I’m being honest really I want the 9T I’ve got but with fairings a large screen and racked out with panniers Nice laderhosen your kidneys will be pleased The reviews I've seen on this reckon it's good for 85 tops so it will be OK for beetling about on.... stick a pair of Trail Wings on it and it should be good off road as well. As far as capacity goes, didn't one of the women who have done the big trans-continentals use a Honda 250? The Suzi is based on a commuter bike so engine spares should be plentiful. Anyway, interested to see what you think when you've seen one in the flesh (so to speak!). Yep she did and I look forward to hearing about it soon (in the flesh so to speak) but she did suffer a bit as a consequence (so I’ve read so far) but also many benefits as you’ve outlined. Like test driving a car you want to take it fully laden up that steep incline (or two) before you say “ok” That’s why test riding a bike in Wales is a joy. Sound suggestions as usual, I’m wondering if you’re becoming a stalwart?!
9. Let us know how it goes. I nearly signed up there n then too but have so much to work on that I’m aware of already didn’t want to waste the opportunity being told things I already know. Did you enjoy ML?
10. Sorry late on the congrats but CONGRATS Happy for you. Much fun ahead

12. Speedy23 annoyingly as I was leaving the NEC I realised Suzuki was the only stand I hadn’t visited, couldn’t face trapsing back, decided I’ll visit a local dealer instead so I’ll definitely have a look at that bike while I’m there thanks I did spy some salopettes while I was there though. When I was at the crazy horse I picked up a catalogue called ‘IF IT WORKS IN SCANDINAVIA’ A self explanatory title and full of clothing and layering systems for the icier climbs. It’s made up of three brands Jofama, Lindstrands, Halvarssons. I think this might be their website- https://jofama.se/mcsm/ The gear is pricey though and it’s cheaper to search for salopettes under snowmobile gear on places like FC moto or Storm https://www.storm-motor.fi/en/ajovarusteet/kelkkailuvarusteet/ I found the the Finnish and Nordic countries had better and cheaper gear than the American Canadian sites, not to mention the pain and cost of returns to America. Unless you were looking for ski gear at ML?
13. Mine can but it was my brothers pee So can mine .... she's got a cock . Is it you?
14. Now International Christian Concern want charges pressed- someone suggested they go over to serve the papers
15. Bikersloft in Belgium is close. You drive in to the open garage and the rooms are behind the doors within the garage. The mini museum is in there too as are the showers in the garage itself. More hostel than hotel. Sounds good, I assume Belgium (along with most other countries) has better tarmac than we do?!
16. It’s was as usual enjoyable. I sat on a lot of bikes. Was disappointed that no-one seems to make what I want- something with a low seat height, light but not completely gutless that’s fine on the road but can manage a bit of off road. For obvious reasons every bike that does off road automatically has a high seat height and I’m fine not touching the ground on tarmac but off road- nope I’m not. I thought I’d find something at the Honda stand and the guy was incredibly helpful but all the bikes required an extra inch or two of leg length. After asking what I wanted it for they initially guided me towards the Africa Twin!?!?! I had to laugh when I saw it, I’d need to carry a stepladder to get on and off! Gerontious must have a few metres of leg! The Kawasaki Ninja 650 or 300 was by far the best fit size wise and not heavy but I’d landed on Honda because they’re everywhere, no matter the country (more or less) you’ll find someone who knows how to fix a Honda and can get parts. I can’t imagine finding Kawasaki in Peru! Anyhow instead of me moaning here’s some pics from today- Pretty but the chrome finish wasn’t the finest Something for Wallace n Gromet Scuse the thumb print Nicer looking in real life, my feet dangled about 20cm off the floor! Amazing artwork A seat for those with no time to stop for the loo!
17. I’m definitely not tight fisted, I wish I was. I can’t abide being ripped off. It used to be the norm at Crufts to line up the trolleys and have a shared buffet with other folk from your breed so the NEC banned it That year I queued for 20 minutes to get to the bar, ordered two double GnT’s and handed over £20, it was insanely noisy and I couldn’t hear what the barman was repeatedly saying... “ANOTHER 3 QUID PLEASE” £23 for 2 doubles! The food I queued for was overpriced and If I served up that rubbish at home it wouldn’t get eaten. Since then I’ve never been to the NEC without taking food. Speaking of which I better make the wraps cos me and Mr Slowly are going tomorrow If anyone else is about and fancies a cup of tea let me know- assuming the tea isn’t overpriced or the queue too long that is!
18. Cheapstakes- Pah, I think you mean savvy spender/non queuer!
19. I think most people wear their watch on the left wrist. Being left handed I wear mine on the right wrist so this would be useless for me. I find wearing a watch on the left makes writing more tiring. Oh no not the which wrist am I supposed to wear my watch on thing I was told when I was a kid that gents wear theirs on the right wrist and ladies on their left but it makes more sense to wear your watch on the side you use least. Gerontious nice, and in the odd world of watch buying it’s not as pricey as some which makes it a bargain so really you had to....
20. I cant see this going so well for someone who wears their watch on their left wrist. Oh well at least Id know what time I had the accident
21. The airlines food is stored in a rat infested warehouse and there’s a risk to national security from reintroducing the plague. I think it was that or something even more sensible...
22. Tango how it’s ok for someone to work all their lives and not have enough to comfortably retire on is beyond me. The whole things a mess with some people coming out of it very well indeed and some realising they can’t ever afford to retire. When someone’s used up their time and energy on this planet by providing a needed service or producing a profit for an employer or building a business that creates employment (I could go on but you get the idea) all of whome pay taxes the fact you can do this day in day out for all of your productive useful life to then discover “sorry there’s none left for you” is plain wrong. I’d really like to see the books I’m sure some are stuffing their pockets and laughing at us while they do it. Rant over.
23. How so? I don't know heard it on the radio , can't remember the reason . must be true
