  1. Thank you very much. It’s only now I realise I don’t have an owners handbook. Bought the bike just before a big and stressful house move so some stuff I would normally think about has slipped my mind. Thank you for the advice.
  2. Hello groovy gang. As mentioned in another post I have a new Chinese made bike. I want to give myself the best chance of it lasting and want to follow the advice I was given to look after it. I shall buy a Haynes manual to how to do stuff but would like to know what to do? What should I do to look after a bike, how often etc? Thanks in advance
  3. I am sympathetic about not wanting to ride around for the sake of it, but having only just my bike too I did about an hour a day for the first couple of weeks. Not for the sake of it but for practice. There is so little supported time on a CBT and I was so aware of what a novice I am when out and about, stalls, poor control and generally fucknuttery are still a part of my riding particularly compared to my experience as an seasoned car driver. Each time I go out I learn so not for its own sake.
  4. Love Orkney, my wife and I got married there in 2012. A few days before the Wedding I managed to nip over to Hoy to meet a mate (pre-arranged) and climb the Old Man of Hoy. All in all it was a truly adventurous week The littler islands are also really good fun. Plan to return with the kids in 2022 for a family holiday.
  5. Hey groovy gang. Passed my CBT about three weeks ago. Global in Essex were the providers. They were ace. I was one of four, everyone but me had been on a bike, even the 16 year old lad which surprised me. Struggled in the manouvers bit on the car park section but by the time we did U turns on the road I had made sense of the bike a bit more. Loved it, next day went and bought a Lexmoto Falcon off them, done 320 miles and loving it. Going to do big bike test next year if I can afford it but probably keep the 125 going without plates once I pass.
  6. Thanks all I am going to try to find the dosh to pay for those posh moulded ones.
  7. Hello Groovy gang, I am new here and have just bought a Lexmoto 125 for comuting in Brum for my job. I am struggling to keep my earbuds in place when I put my helmet on and I was wondering about alternatives. I want beat value for money and the stuff on flea bay looks like it might be buy cheap buy twice but happy if that is not the case.
