Hello groovy gang. I seem to be asking a lot of the forum at the moment. It is because I am new. I would love to do my DAS but can not afford £800 at the moment. I was thinking that some lessons as and when I can afford them might be a good idea, I can practice what I learn on my 125 in the mean time and I would get chance to have a go on a bigger bike. Is this a daft idea and can anyone recommend any instructors in south Birmingham?

I hope you have business insurance! you don't want them to find an excuse to not pay out if the worst happens Thanks for checking in case I did not know. I do and I double checked the other day that I am covered.

That Is a great suggestion but unfortunately I have multiple places of work. Took a lighter bike lock today. Going to buy a disc lock thingy I think and I will mix and Match dependent upon journey.

I did three hundred over two weeks just by popping out for an hour and a half most days. This enabled me to practice as well which was the joint aim as well as adding mileage. From where I lived I aimed to do some round town, five to ten miles, and then double that or more on A roads. I did a duel carriageway for about forty but that was boring. Good luck, agree with previous post, just ride.

I have a very heavy and expensive £80 lock that I got with my bike as a sweetener. I carry it when I am working to lock my bike up. Some days this week I have managed to lock my bike to a metal parking sign. But it is so heavy, what are my alternatives for mobile security?
