  1. Did they tell you any jokes though ? No not yet probably after 2-3 visits
  2. Went today to sportsbike store in Leeds, some good thinks are there, recommend to anyone nearby, if they don’t have what you looking fore they will get it ASAP and text you when is in the store, without obligation to buy.
  3. Years ago I had Ducati monster, I went to service centre in Italy and technicians comments were : Why you touch if it’s works you no touch. Since then I live with that philosophy and it works
  4. Bit of science Alcohol is a depressant that has a short life span in the body. Once alcohol has entered your bloodstream, your body will begin to metabolize it at a rate of 20 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) per hour. That means that if your blood alcohol level were 40 mg/dL, it would take about two hours to metabolize the alcohol. Alcohol is metabolized at a constant rate, but some people may feel the effects of alcohol for longer amounts of time. That’s because blood alcohol concentrations can vary among people and situations. Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) refers to the amount of alcohol in your blood in relation to the amount of water in your blood. For example, if two people each have blood alcohol levels of 20 mg/dL, the alcohol will metabolize in about an hour in each person, but their BACs can be very different. Numerous factors can affect BAC and how you react to alcohol, including: age weight drinking alcohol on an empty stomach medications liver disease drinking many drinks in a short period of time, which is also known as binge drinking It’s also important to know how much alcohol is in your drink, because that will determine how long it takes to metabolize your drink. For example, some beers have a higher alcohol content, which affects how much alcohol you’re consuming from one drink. The following are general estimates for how long it takes to metabolize different alcoholic beverages, though these times will vary depending on the amount of alcohol in the beverage: Type of alcoholic beverage Average time to metabolize small shot of liquor 1 hour pint of beer 2 hours large glass of wine 3 hours a few drinks several hours There are certain steps you can take to help reduce the effects of alcohol. Food may help your body absorb alcohol. Water can help reduce your BAC, though it will still take one hour to metabolize 20 mg/dL of alcohol. Avoid caffeine. It’s a myth that that coffee, energy drinks, or any similar beverages alleviate intoxication quicker.
  5. How long does alcohol stay in your blood? On average, it takes about 1 hour for your body to break down 1 unit of alcohol. However, this can vary, depending on: your weight. As well depend what is the one unit glass or bottle
  6. I had cousin who wasn’t sober for over 20 years, obviously alcoholic with capital A, He newer scratched his car, but never, he sometimes couldn’t walk but he could drive the car without any accident Probably would be different on motorcycle In Mediterranean countries we are better drivers after few drinks, at least we believe that. Now seriously as I am ship driver let put it that way in cruise industry deck officers/drivers, tolerance is 0 while on duty and 0.05 of duty. 4 hours before duty no more alcohol and of course even when u are allowed to drink that is one or max two glasses of wine. And ships does not go so fast, 15 to 20 miles per hr. of course there are another reasons as well. I participated tastings where making decisions and time needed to make decisions was tested sober and under influence of alcohol. Again talking about glass two or three no more and results were catastrophic. All of tested people were delayed decisions and actions noticeably , immediately after first drink and after 2 or 3 it was much worse. Not only the time for reaction but decisions making went so bad. And for the end lot depends on personality and attitude , lot of people become aggressive after drink or two and natural racers For that reason I am for 0 tolerance That doesn’t mean I will not have a pint
  7. I just renewed it, actually starts from July 21, so now to the end of the month no more food for family, fortunately other bills are sorted, 1290 this year, I did ask them if is the joke as I have superduke 1290, but they didn’t get it.
  8. Lot of people are not able to drive properly sober, alcohol is the problem but I believe that attitude is the worst. But I do agree with 0 tolerance.
  9. Pirelli angel gt, maybe the best tyre for heavier bikes with lot of power, that’s my opinion of course, fantastic grip on dry definitely and good as well on wet, long life for sure, especially new 2nd generation.
  10. I love that rednecks on the lights especially , just tease them, few seconds keep my revs high then you can see their eyes start blinking. On the green light I just set off normally and redneck will leave skid marks, I always home some police is around. That’s fun.
  11. Hate to shave, and I don’t if I don’t have to. After every shave my skin get painful and I get lot of cuts. When on board have to shave, company policy so I use electric shaver, much better than razors. If I have to shave with the razor, I will go just one direction up- down, no way contrary.
  12. So far no complains about them, actually extremely professional and fair.
  13. Heart goes out to you mate, my brother, who lives in Middlesex, was paying something like that for a CBR600, he said it got to the point where the insurance was costing more than the bike was worth That’s the worst part, when I started to search for quotations hey were sky high from 16000 to 18000 practically worth of the bike. Than I start to call All companies but unfortunately you get to talk to computer or to telephone operator who used same shit application that I used online. Then I was told than no one will accept to insure me. Fortunately I managed to get in direct contact with underwriters and slowly step by step got that first year for unspeakable price. Now it is still heartbreaking but manageable. Hope that year after year will get to the normal human price.
  14. Lucky b......s I can’t get anything below 700 and that is considered lucky. Last year was bloodsucking tears ripping 1700 Ok eu licence, no records in uk, ...........
  15. Didn’t get in situation where cannot filter, yet. But depend on bike size as well, some bikes can squeeze more then others
  16. Marino

    Mirror loose

Usually they tight up by rotating as you did, as well there is the nut that holds it and can be adjusted as well
  17. As some people said, be careful. I am Mediterranean as well and our way is way to aggressive for uk standards. Filter when it’s safe in steady traffic otherwise people can react and become aggressive. Bus lanes pay attention as some are ok for motorcycle use, but others not, so read the sign. It takes some time but u will get use to it.
  18. Proper lime green Kawasaki, like it, Nice evil machine
  19. Best way to learn how to filter and survive is to get to Italy, any of the big cities and drive. First observe what locals do, it seems all are sick of life and willing to die. But after some times you will get the point.
  20. That’s right if you apply throttle it will start to change the line and getting upright but you can balance it by applying more pressure to the inside handlebar (counter-steering) I will be more concerned about loosing grip and sliding if you don’t have electronics to control it or you are not real experienced rider to control it by your wrist.
  21. Basically what they teach in the track racing and could be applied for street use if you know the road, Entering corner, front break to slow down and increase front wheel grip, mid corner no breaks constant throttle so you don’t upset front or rear wheel, exits corner apply gradually throttle. Every intervention on breaks or throttle during cornering may upset motorcycle. It is easy when you know the road, start to be tricky when you don’t.
  22. There is no more or les important part of equipment. Except helmet that is mandatory. So just from personal experience, when ever I had accident not the only but most injured parts were those without proper protection, feet, legs, Since several bad experience , even on over 30 degrees centigrade I will use full protection, of course appropriate for temperatures, unfortunately it cost much more when it comes to recovery.
  23. Long time ago it was the rule that right foot must be always next to the foot brake and left leg on the floor. At least in driving schools. Of course we ignored it immediately after getting driving licence, don’t know why. Bad habit?
  24. No, it takes 20 min max to repair puncture, low skill, no experience, just follow instructions
