  1. This is what you need: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Conductive-Thread-4-diy-Touchscreen-Gloves-iPhone-iPad-/270703073641?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item3f07291969#ht_1381wt_1141
  2. Probably about a gallon, so 35 - 45 miles. Don't hold me to it though
  3. I'm more looking forward to see what Redding can do in Moto2 this season. I think he's a cert for a few wins, hopefully more. Bradly Smith will have a better season than last but I think he will be in Reddings shadow. I know it's very early to tell, but Stoner's looking menacing on the Honda. I think it could be an open season with Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo, and Pedrosa right up there. I think Spies will get the better of Haydon in the chasing pack. And hopefully Cal can have a similar rookie year to Spies. My monies now on Stoner for the title, but I'll probably change my mind again after the next test.
  4. Nice one. And unlucky fred. Hope you get another date ASAP.
  5. not a scooby mate, had just come off the warmers rubber shown no signs of sliding/giving up. i was gonna change them at dinner anyway so maybe it was the tyre, they still look mint tho. im sticking with i was just too fast, i messed the corner before you as you see so maybe there was some crap on the tyre from that which hadnt cleared i dont know... its a mystery... It's certainly not obvious. Maybe go back to last years forks, it worked for Stoner. I don't like it when riders go down without knowing what went wrong, especially experienced ones. It makes think how easy it would be for a newb like me to drop it.
  6. DAS just means doing the bests on a bigger bike. It costs no more than doing it on a 125. Well ok, slightly more as you will have to pay for the bike hire on your lessons where you wouldn't have to on your own bike. But what's that, about a rennet extra per lesson or something. Assuming your old enough just go for the DAS
  7. I have RST textiles and can't fault them so I wouldn't have any problem buying their leathers. They're a good price too. Also check out this guys ebay store. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/d*b*g/m.html He has a lot of cheap ixon kit which are good quality. Compare his prices to other shops, over half price. I bought a 1 piece ixon suit from there. I tried and sent back a few different suits before that and had no problems with returns.
  8. If your not bothered about doing it in the rain then go for it. Ice won't be a problem for a while yet.
  9. Textile jacket, boots, and ordinary jeans. But then I live in a small town with very little traffic and no big junctions etc to get caught out on.
  10. Unlucky mate. Looking at that google maps link it does look like you could of gone a bit quicker. But still, it's a crappy reason to get failed on, being cautious. The worst thing is it's subjective, another examiner may well of seen nothing wrong with your speed and passed you.
  11. I have the RST ventilator 2 textiles and think they're great. I was out in an absolute downpour for over an hour and they didn't leak in the slightest. Couldn't say the same for the Spada 100% waterproof, Ride magazine recommended, gloves though. My leathers are a high spec and fairly pricey, but not a very well known brand. I think in general you get what you pay for, in that if you pay good money you will get a good product. Doesn't always hold up though so you still have to do your research before you buy. Also doesn't mean you can't find cheaper kit that works well.
  12. Due to the switch to litres most manufacturers will do little development to the current bikes for next season. Except Ducati which will have to put the work and money in, Probably a proviso on Rossi signing for them. So I expect it the be a lot closer to the Yamaha and Honda next year.
  13. 1. Rossi 2. Lorenzo 3. Spies 4. Stoner But I won't be putting any money on it.
  14. Another good race. Congrats to Lorenzo. I feel a bit sorry for him as Rossi has shown in the last two races that it may have been a different story if he hadn't got injured, and a lot of fans will say it's been devalued because of that. But Rossi made a mistake and broke his leg, jorge didn't. He's a worthy champion in my eyes.
  15. When you say Oxford do you mean the footy ground car park like you said on another forum? If so then that was not the mod 1. They were either practising or it was a CBT. The mod 1 has to be carried out at an official purpose built test centre.
  16. All the test centres have both layouts don't they? The blackburn one does.
  17. Cool. I agree. Leon will do good things on that bike as it is. Plus BMW are one of the few manufacturers that have plenty of cash to splash to develop the bike, so it's a good team to be in.
  18. Don't read if you haven't seen the race yet.
  19. Is that official? Last I read Suzuki still hadn't confirmed if they were going to give factory support to the WSB squad and without it they wouldn't be competitive. Leon couldn't wait round while all the other rides got taken up so had to make a decision. BMW are making good progress and it seems they're determined to get the bike up the front so it is/will be a great move for him. They might not be there next season but certainly 2012.
