  1. None! only doing A1 so will still be keeping Xena and Bridget Do your full test! its the same test! you can then ride any bike you want even if you do stick to a 125 at least you have the option My CBT expires in 6 months, doing the A1 is cheaper than taking another CBT and does not expire, doing the full A would mean using a school and at this point in time i don't have the spare funds and by the time i do my CBT may well have expired which would mean more unneccessary expense
  2. Or some one has cloned your plate But as they would only snail mail not email then yep Delete and not worry There is no reg number or location of said penalty charge maybe they are just starting out in the scamming saga, maybe i should send a return email offering to help them out, for a small charge of course
  3. Just a heads up, just received one via email, and i know it's a scam as the date and time puts me firmly at home having my tea before going for my club bike night scamming mother f
  4. Just had a look, got my theory this Thursday afternoon so once that is done will get both my mods booked in what bike will you get Dynax, once you do your tests.... think carefully before you answer, your future on this forum may depend on it. None! only doing A1 so will still be keeping Xena and Bridget
  5. I bookmarked the main page but as usual with dot gov sites not been updated so i might be able to get mine done by the end of the year afterall Plenty of test slots available at Rotherham. Just had a look, got my theory this Thursday afternoon so once that is done will get both my mods booked in
  6. That's not true! .. You can book your own tests now! ... But slots are as rare as hens teeth! https://driverpracticaltest.dvsa.gov.uk/application?_ga=2.172855462.465283256.1600696866-1536756588.1593164909 I bookmarked the main page but as usual with dot gov sites not been updated so i might be able to get mine done by the end of the year afterall
  7. Before all this bollox started you could book your own tests, now you have to go through an instructor which is a pain if you only want to do your A1 on your own bike, as most schools won't book them because there is nothing in it for them, this is why i decided to wait it out and see when or even if we can book our own tests in the future
  8. I was planning on doing my tests this year but decided to wait until it settles down, i take it you don't ride a 125 and are doing DAS, sometimes you just have to suck it up and let things take their course
  9. Hello and welcome, you could try another school, but maybe you just need some extra tuition on a 1 to 1, the hardest part is the clutch control but once you find the biting point it does become easier, the key point is slow controlled movements of the throttle, clutch and brake, better luck for next time and remember it is NOT a test it is training so you can be riding to a safe standard on the road
  10. Have the sprockets been changed, they are often changed from stock sacrificing low end torque for higher speed
  11. Modern cars are a pain to work on, so glad we have a motability car as we don't have to worry over servicing or if anything breaks, just make a phonecall and either an engineer comes to us and fixes it or i can usually drop it off to be done, but luckily our current car has never had any issues
  12. If you get a decent sized panel you could use a leisure battery to power lights and an inverter so you could use a low powered tube heater or oiled filled radiator, but having a seperate battery would mean you could make up some jump leads with quick connectors to maintain the bike battery
  13. Most good quality gloves will have a rubber squeege strip on the thumb so you can wipe the visor
  14. If you go solar option use a controller i have a couple of solar chargers and on a bright day in full sun can chuck out in excess of 25v

    CBF 125 Cutting Out

Quick google suggests it could be a tank breather or fuel pump issue

    CBF 125 Cutting Out

No idea regarding the engine management but i would recommend giving it a full service, fresh fuel wouldn't hurt either
  17. In short it would be more practical to install a power supply to the shed use an arctic cable extension lead as a temporary solution, you can fit external plugs and sockets to make a simple plug and play solution
  18. Hello and welcome
  19. Only being a pleasure rider i will pick and choose which days to ride out over winter

    Hey everyone

    Hello and welcome
  21. All done took just under 2 hours, my hedge trimmer is a mountfield 25cc and is capable of cutting through 30mm branches, it was a piece of cake, even the rain didn't spoil my fun i think i have earned myself a kebab for tea tonight
  22. This afternoon will be swinging a chainsaw and hedgetrimmer in anger , a friend wants a tree pruning but it is covered in ivy and what looks like hawthorn that will need to be removed first, he has an electric trimmer but won't even touch it, this job needs petrol power
  23. He's probably registered it as a historic vehicle, so no tax no mot and no need to worry over emissions and will probably cost about £20 a year to insure
  24. It's all done and fitted , ended up having to rewire the rear indicators as the wiring literally fell to bits from heavy corrosion @fastbob it was tight but managed it just, there was the main control unit, a siren and speaker, i do like my talking alarms I was tempted to get the swearing version but just got the standard talking one, plus the swearing one was £10 dearer
  25. Wtf is all that about, went there as a kid loads of times to see the air display
