  1. how long have you had the helmet, have you cleaned out the vents, bugs, debris, can get stuck without you knowing and restrict the airflow,

Brand new helmet,,and I wear an oxford cotton balaclava,

I’m wondering if it’s because the drizzle got my glasses damp and that caused the whole thing.

I’m hoping for same weather in morning and I will set off with visor shut down

Yeah, that'll do it, any moisture inside, will condense on any cold surface that is exposed,

  2. Not sailed for some years, my most recent foray into boating, was an inflatable fishing boat i used on the local canal :thumb: , before that was an aluminium punt powered with a Seagull

That must have been some seagull to be able to push a boat along.....

    It was, 1.5HP

  3. Pushing £1000 for me :crybaby: then again it’s my first ever bike.

Is this forum partnered with any insurers? Lexham and MCE coming out cheapest for me. Bennett’s and Carole Nash want £10,000

try bikesure, mine was £600 fully comp, first bike too,

  4. The biggest problem for security is not at home, but when you're out, at home i can wrap the bike with several chains and locks no problem, one look at that and a would be opportunist thief would just walk away, but going into town or the local shops for a 5,10, 15 minute visit, that's all they need, carrying around half a dozen chains is a no go, just not practical, the best deterrent is noise, fit something that makes lots of loud sounds when disturbed,

  5. for the price that these ground anchors cost it's pretty poor reliability, you could pick up some scraps from an engineering company and make your own if you can weld, 8-10mm thick plate steel, would take some getting through with a battery grinder, especially if it was quite long, but any type of security is only as strong as the weakest part, no point having a bomb proof anchor, if the chain or lock is crap,

  6. It is nice that you're showing more photos of your home life with us Six :D

Do we have to refer to her by a name or is "Six's cock holster" ok?

Her names Barbara , she's got a variety of different size strap on's .... and before you ask , yes I will loan her out :thumb:

Oohh you should put up rates, there's one or two members I can think of that would agree to meet you in a carpark with flashlights!

(..... God the idea of a used doll, never mind a used Strap on that's been near Six's arse is making me very grateful I didn't have breakfast!)

    P.s. Sorry Dynax.

No need to apologise  , enjoy a good bit of banter

  7. I think, just on a safety pov alone, i will pick it up in the car, too many unknown variables that could end in disaster,

but on a positive side it has broken the ice on the subject of sex dolls  , there are some fantastic photos by Psion Satori, have a google and see some of his work :thumb:

  8. Can we have a pic of the mannequin please? I'm assuming you have a few.

Blimey! now you're asking, been a good 5/6 years since i last shot any of it, iirc they are on my old desktop pc, which is currently out of use, has been put aside for my model railway control centre, that's my next project after sorting the garden, rebuilding the railway, hopefully before the end of the year, i did have my files backed up on a network drive but that's dead, i will have a look for some during the week, i have a few memory cards that might have some on

  9. I lent it to my sister, and she's finished with it, so was going to pick it up on the bike instead of using the car, she lives near Bingley, so would be a nice run out on the bike

I'm confused , your lent your sister the slightly used sex doll

In a word NO, i lent my sister a sitting mannequin, it was one i used to practice studio photography with, anyway she borrowed it to do the same, but she has now finished with it, and i now need to collect it back from her :thumb:

  10. Excellent, i have a mannequin to pick up some time in the next couple of weeks, would it still need a helmet

it's a seated styled one, so should be ok :thumb:

so you're the one who's bought it ...

Thanks, i've just pissed myself laughing

  11. It is unfortunate to find out in this way, but it does prove how important it is to do your own checks, and don't just take for granted that all is well, it is so easy nowadays to check a vehicles status, if you see a bike you like, take down the reg number, a few minutes online will tell you everything you need to know about it, it could also give you some bargaining leverage knowing the facts before a sale,

good luck with the outcome :thumb:
