  1. Gave Xena a wash and polish which hasn't been done for months and months, cleaned and lubed the chain also not done for a while, bike night tonight so wanted her looking more presentable She is also due a service shortly, racked up 5100 miles so far and will be doing a few more this week with some more club rideouts coming up, got one in Lincolnshire on Wednesday and another to the Forest of Bowland on Sunday, busy busy busy
  2. The only thing you can do is make it as difficult and time consuming as possible, so rather than using one very expensive chain use 3 or 4 cheaper ones, and using a cover often deters potential theives. Might be worth asking the landlord/housing authority etc if you can fit a ground or wall anchor, no harm in asking. I wouldn't let the threat of possible theft put you off from getting one, even asking a neighbour or friend for the use of a garage might be an idea
  3. Good morning had a cracking meal last night, I had the steak and ale pie which was very nice, everthing is cooked fresh so had to wait but well worth it, and the ride there and back was great too. It was packed when we got there only just managed to get parked up, there was seven of us in the end that went. Didn't have chance to get any photos unfortunately but maybe next time if we go again. If you are out that way and fancy some nice homecooked food give it a try ( you might have to pre book a table ), The Marrowbone and Cleaver, Kirmington
  4. Good morning on starvation rations for most of today don't want to spoil my appetite for tonight, thinking about having steak and ale pie

  6. Here's a review of a 300cc Hyosung Aquila GV 300S
  7. @peatear Hope you have a good one
  8. You can use a guide like this to be able to compare brands and sizes https://www.tyreprice.uk/search/?veicolo=Moto&larghezza=&spalla=&diametro=&velocita=&carico=&modello=
  9. Yeah! I'm looking forward to it, I Have heard its' good. I had a look at the menu and it's not over the top price wise either. I think we have booked the function room as there will be quite a few of us going, will let you know how it is
  10. Busy week myself this week got a club ride out on Thursday to Guy Martins gaff the Marrowbone & Cleaver for a meal, then Saturday another ride is planned to sample some pies in Melton Mowbray, hopefully remember to use the dashcam and take my camera for some photos
  11. Still have the problem with on street parking and the suitability of being able to have a charging point, the current percentage for off street parking in the whole of GB is 65%, but out of that what percentage don't own cars so the percentage is even less, and I would Guesstimate that is probably fifty fifty of the uk population who drive have off street parking available to them https://www.racfoundation.org/motoring-faqs/mobility#a8 People will soon get a reality check when their EV's are not as an attractive option and are a lot harder to maintain than they realise.
  12. Another point, are people really going to bother plugging them in to charge when it's blowing a blizzard after coming home from picking up the kids or doing the shopping, I can foresee a huge amount of stranded cars and people who have run out of power
  13. Going back to EV's and more specifically cars, has anyone considered their practicality during the winter months. We don't get particularly bad winters anymore but there are the odd days that do get quite bad, how will the range be affected by the battery performance when all the lights and the heating and everything else is switched on, the lights fair enough are LED's so not particularly current draining but the heating, heated windows and seats and wipers, all these will drain and how will the cold affect the batteries
  14. Good evening got absolutely saturated today oh the joys of biking, but tbh I didn't care, called in to the supermarket for some bits and pieces and the exit was blocked by people waiting for it to stop, not being very polite and wanting to get home I shouted at them " It's only f'ing water you won't f'ing melt" and barged my way through
