Yeah I found out it's name from some searching, unfortunately they are out of stock it is a generic part and fits some current Lexmoto models, just none available. I will phone them tomorrow and find the general specs and then see if I can get an equivalent part from some where else, there can't be that many variations so logically I should be able to find one

I think I have fixed it, didn't have a big enough diameter heatshrink so an alternative needed to be found, and believe it or not I used the neck of a balloon and the glue from a puncture repair kit. I have it all back together in the casing ready to be fitted back on the bike, I will do that in the morning and get it filled back up with fluids and take it for a test ride

It's this rubber grommet type thing what has split, it fits inside a spring which is behind the impeller. The fix I have in mind is to use some heat shrink to bond over it, nothing to lose by trying

No spares currently available for Xena, so for the time being I will keep my rides short and only for important duties. I did however replace the innertubes on my bicycle and washed it in the shower you gotta love having a wet room So at least if Xena is out of commission I still have some transport, trust this to happen since selling Bridget

It's not an oil leak on Xena, it's coolant coming from the weep hole, so looks like some new seals will be required, just wondering how long i will have before they fail completely luckily it's only a slight drip at the moment

Good morning I thought I had solved the oil leak on Xena but some more investigating required, and regards the Ybr still no joy with that, so that will going back to my mate as a project for him to work on

Jeez how much! The ones I fitted to Xena were an ebay special £13 delivered, think they were uk based but could have come from overseas, they were a few sellers so just picked the one with the best feedback Well whatever I have had them on for about a year or so now so can't complain

Not sure regarding the local authority but my main concern would be keeping the chains off the ground. If you get any complaints then raise the issue with them about inadequate security measures. -
Good morning still no wiser regarding the ybr, so will let him know he can pick it up and best thing he can do is advertise as a spares or repair. Not going to waste anymore time on it myself

It is a heap of junk and not because it's chinese just the fact it's been neglected, it was an ex school bike so who knows how many times it's been dropped and what abuse it's had

Got a full day of activities to get through, first get a bit of shopping in, then do some cooking with said shopping, do some wood butchering and make some sample items for a display for someone, also need to visit a friend and have a look at their conservatory that needs some repairs, and then some further investigating on the ybr

Thinking about it it will probably need a top end rebuild, it has spark has fuel, but when it turns over it seems to lack compression, could be the valves or even the cam chain I will take the top end off and have a look sometime tomorrow.

It will need more than that, just about every panel is held on with cable ties, it's leaking oil faster than you can drink a cup of tea, the clutch lever is so bent and twisted it needs two hands to move it, the tyres are well we won't go there, and that's just from a quick look around it.

I have provisionally sold Bridget I saw a mate of mine pushing his heap of crap ybr, long story short told him he could borrow the CG and I would have a look at his over the weekend. Anyway told him it was for sale and we struck a deal
