Has anyone tried using Skype conference calling on a smartphone and would that work as a basic intercoms system.

True, but if you stay overnight you can leave your luggage at B&B or campsite or whatever and explore.

Check the max weight capacity of the bike this is the the total weight that the bike can safely carry including rider and luggage, once you take away the actual kerb weight ( this is the weight of the bike when filled with fuel,oil and water if water cooled ) of the bike, this will leave you with the weight you can carry including rider and luggage. You may have to increase tyre pressures and adjust the rear suspension to compensate for the extra weight. As an example my bike can carry 320kg the kerb weight is 172kg, so my bike can carry upto 148kg of rider and luggage

TBH I would leave the white background but trim it to within a couple of mm's of the logo

If you are going to do that you might as well print it on photo paper cut it out and then laminate it and trim to size, then use some double sided tape to stick it on

Good luck with your venture, I have only been into the Peaks once and that was to Ladybower and the Hope Valley. I do plan on going again and exploring much more of it, but the fun for me is finding out for myself what roads go where and getting lost is half the fun
