For the delaminate, one likely possible to do with pressure and heat control, if the rubber its self is super heated almost to spot areas but the carcass is cold that can cause it.
Trust me the people involved in those incidents are all over it and numerous causes and theories have been put forward but at the end of the day we are exceeding all manufacturers limits at top speed events so it ultimately comes down to user beware which is why we tend to lean towards other makes if only because we haven`t seen them fail (yet!).

This really shows how much it is all down to personal choice.
You would struggle to get any of the boys doing top speed runs at Elvington to buy any Avon tyre as we have witnessed near misses with delamination at high speeds, very unlikely to ever affect anyone on the road or at a trackday but once witnessed the irrational prejudice is always there.
+1 for Michelin on most things for me and still occasionally use Bridgestones.

We will be popping in on Sat and staying overnight in nearby hotel.
Have a nice route in worked out that avoids A14.
Higham Ferrers-Kimbolton-Grafham -Brampton via some small and twisty roads !

First off I would check the wiring harness as it passes round the steering head of the frame and investigate any damage.
Secondly it's always worth checking that the tank breather is not blocked (if its safe to stop next time it happens open the filler cap and listen for air being sucked in).
There will be lot's of other possibilities but those are where I personally would start.
Good luck and don't forget to share the results when you get it sorted it might help someone else.

I am a tad more bothered with keeping an eye on the postbox and hoping that DVLA are taking some kind of Brexit stand with regard to French radar cameras !

Hi @joelonghair it might be an idea to let people know "roughly" wherabouts in the country the stuff is as I am sure postage/carriage could soon add up if stuff starts to move.
Good luck and sorry to hear of your loss.

Seems fine to me.
Just got back from 1863 miles of France and Northern Spain on about the same level of prep.
Go and enjoy yourself and if in the South be aware you will need beer/wine and access to a pool it is decidedly warm this year.

If it`s been serviced by a dealer get a photo of the service record as the dealer will have recorded the mileage at the point of service.

Following on from the things that really annoy you thread.
I mentioned how people that use their windscreen washers in front of me really boil my wee wee.
Last night I ended up in a slightly heated exchange with an overweight retard in a beat up 2008 meriva or similar who didn`t understand that I didn`t want to share his soapy washer fluid and it got me wondering surely he was actually driving without due care and attention if he failed to check what was behind him prior to washing his screen (and the justification "well I am in a car" was hysterical).
At the least it is very inconsiderate.
does anyone know if there was any actual offence?

I am surprised no one has mentioned one that really gets me !!!!
People that use their windscreen washers when I am behind them on a bike.
Brings out the worst in me, Horn on for lengthy time , loud swearing and insults as I pass especially if their window is open, when in front much pantomime wiping of visor etc before sign language the zipping off.

+1 for adventure bike I have the new Tiger 1200 GT and it1s surprising how good it can be in the twisties and in the right hands it will give almost anything a run for their money.
I am over 6ft and it`s definetely tall and comfortable enough.

It may be worth contacting any Bullit dealer and getting them to confirm if the model you have is a Honda CG125 clone?
If so that might increase the number of options you have, I would start by seeing if a secondhand rack was available for a reasonable price then speak to someone with a welder.

The list is endless so I am happy to let other people populate it, then I can jump in at the end if I spot any omissions that really boil my p*ss.

Please bear in mind from what I recall A.M.Phillpot of Luton is a specialist hard chromers and is used in application as fork legs rather than a decorative chromer who may well be cheaper as it`s a different thing.
Good luck in your search and maybe speak with people local to you who show bikes/cars.

Well found Sir.

Just for the record before anyone thinks we were just recklessly exceeding limits (which we were to an extent) the incidents I mentioned happened at properly sanctioned top speed events organised by "Straightliners" and 200MPH.org and were attended by medics and properly sanctioned by Guiness records etc.
