1. I`m in my 50`s and work in construction lol. My back wont let me stoop and work on the floor ! Funnily enough the position for using a broom is excrutiatingly painful after a couple of minutes lol. Cheers Ian Your just getting old ian......I better be included in your will, I have my eye on your busa and rex Does the expression Bollox ring a bell lol?? Cheers Ian
2. Its a special kind of pain lol. You jump at the impact then enjoy the new piercing ! I do a lot of work with timber frame buildings so see these things quite often. Hence the shame when I did it to myself. Cheers Ian It's the moment it happens and for a split second you cant really believe you have done it before the pain kicks you in the head and the rest is a blur for a while Spot on ! Better explained than I managed lol. Cheers Ian
3. I stapled myself to a curtain tieback once, was in a hurry and instead of using clamp type stapler, I grabbed fixing stapler and promptly put a 14mm t50 staple through it and into my thumn , I didn't laugh at the time. 6. Long gone are those days Hmmm I'm not sure about that. Last MOT I did by phone was probably 89 conversation with garage was priceless. Them anything wrong with it ? Me; Nothing I have noticed. Them; What time do you want the ticket? Me; I will see you in the Royal George tonight if you like? I used to service his bikes and he looked after my car. Cheers Ian
7. What you getting from b&q? Couple of cheeky 200mph grow bags and a pergola kit? What's the "lash-on" capacity of a gsx? Small tin of white metal paint to do the inside of garage door ! Want to make the most of any light. Cheers Ian
8. Nope never used one Don't lol. Cheers Ian
9. I think seeing your own bones is the worst. I did something similar to my knickle while whittling a catapult as a kid. My fave vision of bone at 11 years of age I had my first abroad trip with school ! First night stand on balcony to take photo back into room. As walked back through door my supposed friend thought it would be fun to shut me out on the balcony so shut the glass door. Unfortunately I was half way through it. 34 stitches to left arm and clear view of Ulna ! 18 to right chest which was the only injury I felt. First learnt Italian phrase was Maler is pain lol. Cheers Ian
10. Hey anyone else used a hammer stapler to fix underlay to staircase ? Full blooded swing exact middle of index finger nail Hee Hee. Vision went blurry and as I was already seated I thought it would be a good idea to stand up and get something to stem the inevitable bloodflow. Wrong ! On floor at bottom of stairs contemplating clean up lol. Cheers Ian
11. Whoop whoop Busa ready for trip to B&Q in the morning and nothing on the bench!!! First time in ages lol. Probably park on the ramp to gain some space lol. Cheers Ian
12. On the second generation ones I totally agree with you and think the melted comment is very apt. Cheers Ian
13. I really believe this is a much better looking bike in every way lol. And this scruffy bugger in particular, soon to be renamed "moneypit " lol. Cheers Ian
14. Got back from work at a reasonable time so fitted my new Helibars to the Busa about 3/4 of an inch higher and a smidge back as at slow town speeds it was a little heavy on the wrists and being over 6ft didnt help. Feels a lot better for such a small adjustment. Cheers Ian
15. Fair play I bet you had a lot of fun. Cheers Ian
16. Was that Rushden Lakes or Stanwick? Bet I am wrong lol. Nice thing about the Nene valley loads of beautiful water. Cheers Ian
17. We will be needing pics as soon as you can ! Cheers Ian
18. Today may well be the day you should buy a lottery ticket ! Cheers Ian
19. Got to agree with you on the Speed Triple love them myself especially the high piped (second gen?) model. Only reason I never got one was that I thought it did basically the same things as my Rex probably a bit better if I am honest but I already had the ZRX and had decided it was a keeper. Cheers Ian
20. Thanks for that. The story about people being scared of them does ring true as once mucked about with they can be jaw droppingly fast quite easily. I am aiming to up mine to 300bhp at thewheel this time and hopefully I can get the 200 out of the way then look for something else daft to take on lol. Cheers Ian How about 225 or 250? Not sure at the moment and top speed stuff is very expensive and now we seem to only run at Elvington even getting there and back is a fair old trek. I will see how I feel once the 200 is done as that was my original task to break that with a supercharger as so many people said it wouldnt work lol. Cheers Ian
21. Sounds like a reasonable idea just keep an eye on sprocket alignment, I would get one of those chain alignment laser things. Cheers Ian

23. Hi Bender Whose supercharged one did you try? I am interested if he had the same blower as mine? Cheers Ian
24. I quite agree that the Gen 2 is fugly but I still like the first and original shape. Cheers Ian
25. Well yes , but why buy a Hayabusa and not ride it hard and fast ? That's all it's really designed to do . I'm not saying you can't tour on it . I used to tour on it's predecessor , the GSXR 1100 but I still used to give it the hyperdrive when the conditions were right . Ironically , the one time I got nicked for speeding I was doing 36 mph . I thought the same Bob before I got one & quickly found the was no way I could outperform the bike, however, you know the hyper drive is there if you want it & it's addictive. After you get it out of your system it's a pussy at normal speeds & makes you lazy with gear changing. Other than a retro GS850 ( & yes I am jealous you had one ) I'll never sell it. Totally agree once you have got that little devil off your shoulder the Busa is a surprisingly practical machine. Chains, sprockets and tyres are entirely dependant on your wrist action and the first set almost certainly will disappear quickly lol. Cheers Ian
