2. So the procrastination was successful and you are safe to nuture your hangover and pine for the open road? Cheers Ian Hangovers are a distant memory at the moment, I’ve been banned from drinking...and almost everything fun bar bikes. Sorry to hear that ! I have misunderstood your comment about being hanging this morning. Cheers Ian

4. Hopefully black hose is greater diameter and carried fuel to the carbs and the blue hose was a vacum pipe. Cheers Ian
5. Sounds like a plan. Service the new stuff before removing whats on yours. It may be worth having your front end straightened and then sell it to recoup some of your costs. Dont forget to check again and again that the new stuff is really straight lol. Good luck. Cheers Ian
6. Get rid of it then! Money pit. Take off and nuke it from orbit. Only way to be sure. Thats what I love to see unadulterated optimism and encouragement. Bear in mind the daft sod has already bought this carcass of an unfinished project and is somewhat committed now lol. Cheers Ian
7. Hey thats good to hear! Have you been given any more pics or information about it? Looking forward to hearing all about it. By the way my bench is now free as Rexy is back on the road! Whoop Whoop Cheers Ian
8. Fookin hell they know how to charge! At least Dick Turpin wore a face covering! Cheers Ian
9. Took the Rex for a 100 mile test ride now new swingarm in place. All seems good and a variety of roads up round Oundle way. Steering feels slower as because of shock mounts being further back she sits down a bit so I have spun the adjusters so hopefully back to near normal. Cheers Ian
10. If the Ron Haslam school is still going I cant recommend them highly enough. Cheers Ian
11. Hi guys I was just looking for some WD-40 the other day and 600ml aerosol was £6 which seemed about right. But I found on Amazon 5litres for £21.99 and it came with a free pump bottle so aerosol no more for me! Hope it helps someone. Cheers Ian
12. Geez! that's just a heartbeat away from necrophilia Do you reckon there is a heartbeat left in that? Cheers Ian
13. What bike is it? Cheers Ian
14. As an unexpected bonus when we hip in with advice or things we have seen before it`s quite often interesting to see the other comments from guys who do the same things in different ways. Example earlier I mentioned about removing throttle cable by using twist grip and didn't mention resetting the adjusters for a couple of reasons. firstly I is a lazy git and secondly I didn't want to mention adjusters to James in Brum as if it was running before why tweak them. Then the next post advised him to slacken the adjusters which is the correct way to do it but if I am honest I so rarely do it lol. So its one of the reasons I like forums as we all benefit from each other`s experience. Cheers Ian
15. Back in 2008 I had a friend working with me who owned a blue ZRX and his bike is on street view outside my house as I gave him a lift to work in the car. Cheers Ian
16. Look at the movement at the carb end a few times as you will need to move this by hand when you come to putting the cable back on again. As it appears to be one of the round ones you should see a slot coming off at 90 degrees to the nipple on the end of the cable. You should use the slack to rotate the cable to line up with the slot and slide the nipple sidewards out of th operating disc. Cheers Ian
17. Open the throttle at the handlebar end and then hold the sprung lever at the carb end, as you release the handlebar control the carb end will have slack allowing you to remove the nipple from the end anchor point. Hope that is clear enough? Cheers Ian
