  1. I tend to go on Dell Outlet nowadays, which is mostly cancelled orders. Come will the warranty and you can choose the spec you want.
  2. Saturday should be a polite bimble out for the day, shooting sunday and Mayday run to Hastings on Monday.
  3. This is good news, but slightly old news now. The first order of chains under the new ownership went out the door last week.
  4. Decided as the weather was decent I'd take a little trip around the southern part of the Kentish coastline. Only issue was that one of the speakers on my cardo died. Quick stop at a J&S branch and they only had the second helmet kit, not just the speakers. So looks like I'll be using the link to SBS and getting a set ordered.
  5. I was talking with a traffic officer who lives not that far from me and with all his years of experience and additional rider qualifications I was shocked to find out he pays a damn sight more than I do. So when they ask about additional training certs it means nothing what so ever! Insurance is just one big rip off! IMHO
  6. Either way they are still better than wearing a pair of trainers
  7. Be interested to know what you think on the light pattern on the LED over OE kit.
  8. @Simon Davey, I class these as experience rides. It's normally an experience I dont want to be in a rush to do again. The main thing is that you made it home in one piece.
  9. Took the XSR900 into Sondel Yamaha for the TPS recall, then I had to test it after the work was completed, so out for a couple of hours enjoying the sun.

    XSR900 Quandary

@Simon Davey, am I love with the bike, nope cant say I am but I'm also not disliking it. It is a good bike with a cracking engine, but the one common complaint about Yam's is the suspension is on the budget side of things. @bonio, I had my suspension setup by HM Racing down in Edenbridge, so I have confidence that they know a thing or two about setups. Sadly MCT is a bit too far away. I think this weekend might end up going out for a test ride or two if I can fit it in.

    Biker Down

I did a biker down a little wihle back and well worth it. I'd also recommend the Bike Safe course.

    XSR900 Quandary

I've had my XSR900 for almost a year and whilst it's a very accomplished bike, the suspension is built for a 60kg person and not me. I had a suspension setup completed last year and whilst it imporoved things, it was almost (within a click or two) of being max'd out. I've emailled the company that completed the setup and they have quoted the best part of £1800 to replace/upgrade the suspension to something that will handle my 95kg. So I'm now thinking do I spend that and upgrade or just replace the bike with something that is designed for shall I say a more european built person. Yes I know it's going to be my choice at the end of the day but I need my head to win this battle over my heart.
  13. My lsat two tours have been using AirBnB other than one single hotel which was a spur of the moment booking. We hit some real gems in Spain and Portugal. I was asked about a possible 3 week trip up to Nordkapp, but when they said it was camping, I declined as 3 weeks in Norway was just too big a weather risk for my old bones.
  14. Working Saturday night into Sunday otherwise nothing planned.
  15. I've got a core moto that I use in conjunction with an Abus 8077 disc lock. If I was looking to upgrade either end I would be looking at the Hiplock which is around the same price as the X3.
