personally i would not try and remove the studs as they are very likely to sheer off instead of undo it is awkward to refit the exhaust over them but it will work
-
i didnt know it took petrol or used oil, i have been pissing into the tank to fill it up.theres my problem, theres me thinking it was the magneto.thanks for the help
maybe you missed the tank and got some into the magneto
-
have you checked if the exhaust is blocked up and while cleaning and rebuilding the carb have you got the mixture setting correct?
-
are you sure you have got enough petrol and 2 stroke oil in it??
-
when you have got the carbs off only open one at a time up so you can see where the bits go there will be 4 screws holding the float bowl onto the bottom of each carb undo all 4 the lift off bowl there will be 2 jets inside next to each other take out one at a time clean then replace one at a time that way you cant go wrong

check all your bulbs are the same watt as well normally 21w on standard 12volt bike
-
shouldnt use a tyre more than 5 years old and if side walls are cracking replace them
-
no worries with the barrel on that it can be bored if need be
-
check what liner is in the barrel as some of them are not reboreable and means new barrel as well as a piston
-
before you pull it out and disconnect it while indicators are turned on give it a gentle tap it might start working again it could just be the contact stuck inside it
-
switch is normally at the rear or just under the brake lever either push fit or held on with 2 small screws
-
agree with stu take plug out warm it up and wipe it off round the electrode also kick the bike over on the kickstart a few times wih the plug out this will help dry the top of the piston off refit plug and try starting again

well it sounds like you are putting right oil in right places if oil level on gearbox dipstick keeps dropping you have a leak somewhere or if it is to far up the dipstick you have to much in there
-
are you putting oil into a tank away from the engine and what oil are you puting in it or putting it into the gearbox itself
-
are you sure its the gearbox oil warning light or the 2 stroke level warning light?
-
that sounds like it isnt firing on all 4 cylinders
-
done the snake bite rally few years back was great weekend
-
putting it on prime allows free flow of fuel without needing the vacuum from engine so yes it might be flooded will be worth pulling a spark plug out of the engine to check how wet it is clean them up replace them put tap into on position and retry starting
-
have you had the tank off? checked the vaccum pipe is still connected and both the fuel tap and engine ?tried turning fuel tap in all positions ? one way to check if fuel getting through is remove fuel pipe from tap and slide another bit on and place open end into a jar (saves any stray sparks causing probelms) as you turn engine over on start button see if any fuel comes out should have 3 positions on tap......on.......reserve......and prime if vaccum tap

if you have followed the picture guide only thing i can think of is that maybe you havent got the gear at back of clutch cage lined up correctly but you might have got it all put together in correct way and the plates need some time to bed in did u soak them in oil before fitting them

hello guys,
2. I am not sure what the thing is called (not a native english speaker) i think it is either fairing or a fork its like underneath my right handle (in the middle of it) i can see a bit of oil leaking there....is that a big problem? a lot of hassle fixing it?
Thank you for your help!
sounds like you mean the fork seals are leaking and need to be replaced
-
are you sure it was the idle screw he touched and not the mixture screw or both ?
-
when was the last time it had new spark plugs i would try changing them first as is cheaper than cdi unit
-
sounds like it could be clutch drag and as its hydraulic it could well mean time for new set of clutch plates
Urgent! Guidance needed for spark plug/carb etc.

next step is to lift the 4 spark plug caps off the spark plugs they are just a push fit you will then need the correct size spark plug socket use a proper plug socket as it should have a piece of rubber in it to grip the plug as u lift it up once loose and also helps with refitting as the plugs are buried down the the hole once you have plugs out refit new ones
