  1. Making a complete wiring harness form scratch will be a big job.

Why do you want to make a new harness?

Are you are just trying to make it less bulky by removing unused wires?

There generally isn't much on a bike harness you can get rid of! Indicators maybe!

If you want to smarten it up, have you considered re-wrapping it with insulating tape? you could remove the old tape or just tape over the existing tape.

I am currently working on my daughters YBR125 harness, it has a bad connection somewhere for the indicators, it seems to be one of the 6 way terminal blocks so I am adding in extra wires to by pass the problem connector.

on a custom build it could of had a lot of things moved so the original loom doesnt reach/fit any more you can build your own loom without to much problem just remember to check if any wires in the original loom have resistors built inline in them under the tape

  2. what the ad doesnt say is that chances are it will need 2 new tyres as they will of perished while being stored, cables will of gone dry and will start snapping soon after starting to use it again it needs chain and sprocket and simply t he fact that it hs unknown gearbox problems i wouldnt touch it,it will become a money pit very quickly

  3. mixture will very possibly need setting up now you have changed the jet do a basic set up on it to start with turn mixture screw all the way in until it just touches then turn it out 1 1/2 turns as in 1.5 turns and see how it runs then you can slowly adjust it from there also check needle height in the slide

  4. has t he main jet fallen out or blocked as its at about 3000rpm the transition from primary jet to main jet takes place so it could well be carb related check its all clean check the needle is set correctly and make sure the slide in the carb is moving freely and correctly located,if its got a cv type carb on it then check condition of diaphram

  5. far more than the bike is worth

if you are going to give them the bike to strip from full bike to nothing to do the frame and swinging arm then you are more than likely looking at at least 2 days labour at a minimum of £40 an hour i would of thought then the cost of blasting and coating frame and swinging arm is another £100 roughly then a quality paint job and graphics on tank panels tail piece and fairing if it has one could be another £600 by time its finished

  6. you will notice the hot air more in this weather as the fan will cut in more often to cool the water in the radiator and it will be blowing out round your legs if the gauge is saying its at normal temp then it should be nothing to worry about

  7. B*gger!......I wonder if some metal putty would seal that?

would need to take it off and clean all traces of oil away before any kind of chemical metal or similar can be used but i dont see why it shouldnt work its either try that or get new casing
