    if the light is for oil pressure it will stay on while engine is not running as t her is no pressure in the system then,did you repalce the front brake lever with correct one and make sure the switch isnt damaged for brake light as on some of the bikes you need to pull front brake lever in to start the bike and if switch damaged it wont allow contact to let bike start

    dont touch it apart from either cleaning or replacing original filter with correct part you will gain nothing from fitting cone filter apart from lots of problems

    just make sure you get all the air out of the system as an air lock will cause it to overheat

    dont panic about it being head gasket if that was the cause then the cap would have a lot more thick white gunk round it and you would be losing oil or if it was on the compression side you would either notice it over heating or boiling up when stood still and performance would be affected due to compression passing through gasket instead of compressing to fire and power the bike

    are you sure its not a jetting problem as its at about 3000 rpm that the main jet takes over from the primary jet,try riding it with choke slightly on which will allow more fuel through and see if the problem goes if it does then main jet size needs to be increased slightly

    welcome to the forum if you mean the area where the exhaust bolts onto the engine there should be a gasket there that goes between the engine and the exhaust and t hen the nute or bolts pull it up tight to seal it and keep the noise down

    crashing is something im expert at one of my planes has only been flown 5 times and its hit the floor every time for different reasons im sure its not meant to fly but so far ive not had to rapair it harldy at all got to love these foamies,one of the crashes was a fairly tight turn and the battery door fell off and battery went one way plane went the other straight down from about 150ft in the air and just bounced when it hit the floor its so light lol

    i wouldnt get the dx5 but the dx6 is a good unit and yes 2.4 is the way to go now need to get receivers as well but far superior to the old sets on the dx6/7/8 you can program in several different models without changing anything other than a setting on the radio unit, if you wer more local to march or surrounding areas i would say pop down to our flying field on a sunday morning and have a look

    give it a tap if no bits fall off it why mess with it just refit it after all its lasted all these years so i expect there is a few more left in it

    have you thought to check the breather for the fuel tank isnt blocked as that wil cause a vacuum in the tank and stop the fuel getting to the carb

    think i agree with the other op here and mummy had no idea what her little boy was up to untill he turned up in it and she isnt happy maybe he is driving it about without licence or insurance and she not happy because of it,but at the end of the day the deal was between you and him and if they demand money back offer it to t hem less 50% handling fee and the fact you have no idea how its been abused since leaving with him

    damn all these helpfull replies ............................when you replaced he throttle cable did you check everything was moving freely on the carb does the cable go into the top of the carb and pull the side up or does it go into a lever on the side of the carb?

    tell me what date might be going Don't know yet, I usually head over there with Bonniebird and Tango but no plans in place yet this year. Think we've done a Friday the last few times? I'm sure that I'll post an update nearer the time. 100% going, though - I need to scout out a replacement for the BMW perfect replacement

    what do you mean by rpms get stuck is it revving all the time and not going back to tick over properly if so it could be caused by a number of things from dodgy and damaged throttle cable or several other things

    fair enough as your location says southend i thought you had dragged yourself all the way there but i still refuse to pay the ever increasing entrance fee there these days its never been the same since the original people sold it last year

    as stu said welcome to the forum setting up the cable start by winding the adjuster on the handlebars right into the lever then loosen the nuts down on the clutch actuator arm and take up the free play there untill u feel it start to get resistance then back it off 1/4 of a turn lock off the nuts check play at handlebar and fine adjust there as needed that is the basics of setting it up

    all i done when i put a switch in line for the fan on my fzr 1000 was take both wires off the rad switch and plug them onto the rear of a normall toggle switch so you are just bypassing the fan switch and you can turn it on and off as and when you please my bike was fine like that for over 5 years

    hi guys this is more for the local cambs or surrounding members just wondering if any of you have access to a car trailer and vehicle to tow it as i might need a car moving from chingford east london to my place in chatteris the car is a non runner currently and is a project for me to play with and the big plus is it means i dont need to sell my bike to sort it out i can pay fuel costs if it comes off just not to sure when yet but it will be at least 4 weeks time and on a weekend day cheers
