  1. i agree with mega sounds like external guard or other area rubbing very unlikely to be main inside exhaust as it would of also got noiser when running and not just a vibration noise
  2. get it warm and running nice then give al the leads a spray up with wd40 or similar might help keep water and oisture out
  3. looking at the base shape they look ok for the rear or for bolting onto different plate it doesnt look like they have full cover section to go right over the rubber on fairing piece i would email them and ask if they fit your year bike
  4. was going to say look for the dry plug and chances are it will be number one or number 4 numberone due to old fuel blocking up jet or number 4 due to lack of fuel allowing flaky crap off bottom of float bowl to lift from carb being dry due to leaning on side stand for a while
  5. It's being worked on Ricky......but following the slightly disappointing attendance at last years rally we may have to rejig it a bit.......and dates are fairly critical this year as a certain forum owner is getting married in July..... honeymoon rally the weekend of the wedding then
  6. look into powder coating much stronger than paint less likely to chip and far easier to keep clean just mean dropping wheel off the bike tyre off and discs off and maybe bearings out but far nicer looking and will not be a lot more money to get done
  7. robinsons foundry in kent have huge stock of older suzuki genuine parts biggest stock in the uk i think
  8. mega can you not help with fabrication of the hard tail for it?
  9. m money would also be on the pivot going through rear brake plate will need pulling out and cleaning up on both the pivot and in the casing where it passes through
  10. the one off the carb is just an overflow as others have said it should tuck down behind swinging arm and t he one in lower pic is just aa breather/drain as well and should run along the frame in the hooks you can see located on rear of frame rail in the picture
  11. if it connects anywhere it looks like it will be the airbox as it looks like the breather pipe off the top engine cover
  12. easy way to take the forks apart is do not undo top nuts untill you have undone the big allen bolt in the fork base by keeping the top done up you are keeping pressure on damper unit and stopping it turning so undo bolt in the base of fork tube then remove dust seal and circlip in the top and top nut remove spring tip oil out and use the fork leg as a drift to pull old seal out
  13. have a look at the vfr single sided swinging arm that seems to fit most bikes with just small spacers and bearing cups made up for it you can even fit it to old suzukis without to much hassle
  14. how much oil is it meant to hold as 3/4 pint is roughly(dont need to leap on me people i said roughly)1/2 litre and bike might only hold 1 litre so knowing that will help with possible woes inside the engine, but you will always get small pieces of alloy in the oil when draining it,so you might of got away without doing serious damage but let us know how much oil it is meant to hold
  15. that would also result in bike running rough/lean as it would be pulling unwanted air in the pipe
  16. as the others have said chain maybe needs adjusting and also wearing different boots or even thicker socks can make the feelings totally different as you change gear
  17. it will be seized where the steel passes through the alloy of the crank cases they always do due to the reaction of the steel and alloy night mare job to do plenty of plus gas and also diesel sometiems helps in cases like this lay bike on its side so where the pivot bolt sits in it acts as a cup for the fluid to sit in and slowly soak into the bolt area

    Help!!

definatly a few drips of oil into each chamber before trying to start it as bores will of been washed clean of oil and will wreck bore/rings if you dont use oil first
  19. ricky saw this dont know if any good for you http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/yamaha-tzr-12 ... t_21wt_958
  20. if you do need to remove inner tube again dont forget to check the rim tape is in good condition otherwise it could be the top of a spoke damaging the tube and not something you have done/not done wrong
  21. best autojumble you can go to local is on at newark every month google it for the dates its at the showground
  22. frame and wheels look great lots of hard work now to make rest of the bike look that good
  23. inform them that it has the exhaust on it and if the imobiliser wasnt fitted new at the factory it is unlikely to have one fited
  24. also if its a lack of light it could be the bulb has burnt the focus tip off it and will need a new bulb
  25. get some water mixed with washing up liquid and just run it over area where stone is and round valve area and watch for bubbles to blow up
