  1. got to agree first thing change battery and while at it just check connections around starter solinoid make sure no corrosion is present

    welcome to the forum pop into newbies and introduce yourself if you are planning t o become a regular on the forum,have you tried fitting a new plug?

  5. the plug from the ign is normally tucked into the wiring that is clipped into the fairing bracket or in the rear of the headlights when original they are always plug fitted not bullet or anything else

  7. if you decide on smaller plate get new one made up and keep the original size one for the mot unless u have a very friendly mot tester they are meant to fail small plates,some get away with it others dont i have a small one fitted with standard size one i can put in front of it for the mot
  8. would normally be 4 wires coming out of the ign into a plug and sometimes the ign itself becomes loose from the base plate causiong the problem you describe as for the clock lights chance are the bulbs are blown and need replacing

  11. as for bleeding it do it from the banjo fill the caliper with brake fluid right up to the the banjo hole even if it means caliper is up the wrong way u want it so banjo hole is at the top then bleed hose through banjo bolt from the top s normall
  12. no they are not all the same you will need to find out how many teeth are on both front and rear sprockets as they all differ slightly,if you have got a manual for the bike that should tell you what the standard number of teeth are failing that you can mark the rear sprocket and count the number of teeth or some have it stamped into the sides of them
  13. the ign cover if you mean the engine casing might possibly be the same a cbr600 so check them out on ebay panels is just a case of waiting and see whats about at different times
  14. finding the paint code on your vin tag wont help as it will be red if that was original colour of the bike if you take a panel to auto paint supplier they will be able to tint match it for you and put it into an aerosol can and a touch up stick for you
  15. the juddering when running will be it misfiring unless ur chain is slapping about very loose or its when you are braking but from what you said everyone has given right advice i think

  17. been a long slow process but well done on getting it to this stage i have followed this on this forum since the start almost and the fact you carried on when it would of been easier at times to give up sell it on and buy something on the road demands my respect well done mate
  18. i would change both the spark plug and the cap incase plug ceramic is cracked as well
  19. if the shop fitted tyre wrong way round then they should turn it round for free
  20. welll done on passing we all leave indicators on now and again for the first while out on your own just take it easy as you learn the roads and bends better to be 5mph to slow into them and come round and out carrying on up the road than 5mph to fast and coming out on ur backside or worse
  21. try david slivers for the pushrod they are honda specialist
  22. the engine cases have the laquer peeling of them and the alloy below is oxidising so you need to strip all the laquer off paint stripper can be used for that just make sure you wash casing off well and then polish it up using hard work and plenty of patience,can use very fine wet and dry with solvol autosolv or a cream polish similar to it

  24. should check tyre pressures weekly anyway gauges can be bought cheap enough so you dont need to go to garage every time to check them
