  1. Just hope I don't get stuck in a queue and get failed for being too cautious. Stu
  2. I would guess it depends on the examiner and how much of a cock he is. If he thinks his way is right and will fail anyone for not filtering then thats bad luck. Personally I would think of filtering as a choice. Some people take the risk of filtering to make extra progress, others are happy to sit in traffic. That's what I thought but last time I was out my instructor asked me to filter with him. When I questioned him he said 'what's the point in having a bike if you don't filter? You may as well be in a car'. So that clears that up. I will simply stay in the lane and not filter. Less to go wrong with that approach. Cheers folks :0) Stu
  3. I will be doing my Mod 2 in a lot of traffic! (8:15 - 9:00) and wondered what the rule is with filtering? Should i ride like a car and stay in my lane or would that be deemed as not having enough confidence to filter to the front of the queue? Stu
  4. Top work, some greeat pics there. Stu
  5. Can you fail your Mod 2 on by getting the questions wrong? Stu
  6. As above, i have been told the same distance as the size of the vehicle in front so 1 car, van lorry lenght etc. 3 to 4 is a long way back. Stu
  7. Don't see why not but be aware that you may not get a full refund if and when you pass your next one :0) Stu
  8. Cheers people. Actually looking forward to Mod 2. Just need to book it! Love riding :0) Stu
  9. Well chuffed...Was bricking it as i put my foot down on the figure of 8 last time and forgot my papers the first time so needed to pass! Soooooo chuffed!!!!!!! Bring on Mod2 Stu
  10. It is a money maker thats for sure. One error and a fail....Sucks! You will get there. Keep the faith :0)
  11. Ahhh that sucks :0( Horrible feeling. You will get there. Can't give up. It is a fass though with how much it costs Stu
  12. If that was the first indication it was a 40 I would hope not! I would hope it would be a minor unless you are holding up traffic which I expect would be a fail. May be wrong though! Stu
  13. Cheers dan, best for me to just go down there and see whats down there. There staff is pretty awesome down there and give good advice. If i was riding all year around i would buy textiles personally. There are some great ones to be had for under your buidget mate. Stu
  14. I bought alpinestars jacket and trousers for £450 in a sale, would have been £690 so that budget is ample mate. They are water resistent as in a very light shower or just spitting but are in no way waterproof. You would need an oversuite if you are wearing it all year round. I have worn mine in 2 degree temperatures and not not been cold. You just thermals underneath and you are sorted. Stu
  15. Bummer. I didnt have my theory certificate first time around!
  16. Don't stress mate. I had to use the second session of my 6 day das to vet the Cbt passed. Thankfully they didn't ask me to resit the day. I really struggled on my Cbt but the learning curve us very steep and you will be amazed how quickly you pick it up! After my Cbt, one 4 hour lesson on a 125 and two 4 hour lessons on a 500 I am now very comfortable on the bike. I still have a lot to learn but I feel goo where as before I was really nervous. Stu
