  1. well done mate.... the fun begins
  2. well on mine the switchgear came with a length of harness on it and had plugs on the end... no fiddley wires to worry about it simply was a case of unplugging it and plug new one in.. with regards the brake light wires they should be part of the harness coming from the switchgear but even if they are not they will be colour coded so matchin em up again will be aa doddle
  3. Aye Remy it was probs just a bad day... i havent given it any thought really since the day
  4. thats a much better description of it
  5. if the switchgear needs replacing its a fairly simple job mate... i did mine on my old bike and only took 15 mins or so
  6. only if you gun it mate... under normal riding conditions it shouldnt hurt too much...
  7. it will have greater oomph off the mark but less top end
  8. its a shame the modern 125s are so limp wristed... i loved my old KH125 which could get to 85 and cruise at 70 all day long.. granted it was a 2 stroke like
  9. aye haway Dale did ya pass kidda?
  10. thanks guys... Dale good luck with ya MOD2 tomorrow mate
  11. well done mate.... one step closer to the big prize
  12. Well i am busy going through my DAS and got MOD1 booked for 3 weeks time... Anyway after a really good lesson last week this weeks was awful.. Although i was perfectly safe on the bike my obs and shoulder checks etc were terrible... it has knocked my confidence to be honest as i cant afford to mess it up.. Did you guys have similar bad lessons when you were going through your DAS
  13. also try Wemoto as they are very good... bought a few bits from them and the delivery is super fast,,
  14. if the barrel is removeable it may need the key to remove it along with the pin/paper clip as mentioned earlier
  15. someone on thi sforum was kind enough to give me a couple of DVDS to get me through my test and i passed... by the time i took my theory i knew all but 2 of the questions... if you pm me your name and address i will send them to you... go through them time and time again until you have it nailed
  16. i found the multi choice easy as i practiced liek mad and knew all the questions they asked bar 2... the hazard awareness i still struggled with but passed nonetheless... if your like put the time in to learn the questions and do as many mock theory tests as you can... believe me its worth it
  17. Thanks guys and Gals its certainly 1 step closer... and the worst part out of the way for me... bring on the proper stuff
  18. now this might seem trivial to some but i passed my theory today i have always been shite in a classroom enviroment so for me its a major achievement
  19. brilliant well done matey... got my theory tomorrow morning so hopefully one step closer... congrats kidda
  20. only other thing i would add is when ur riding make sure you remmeber to do what you were taught always as if you get out of the habit of doing lifesavers etc it will be hard to get back into it when you eventually do come to do your DAS... oh and well done on passing your CBT
  21. i used to have boxes on my bikes many moons ago and as long as you dont put loads of weight in em i never noticed any diference at all..only thing i can think of is they produce more drag and be suceptable to side winds more...
