    Hi all

sounds like the clamps have been overtightened... i broke the first one i ever got by overtightening it as i am abit hamfisted at time have had another few since then and you feel when they are as tight as they are meant to be... used em on 2 stroke pipes as well as 4 bangers with great results

    Hi all

those clamps are alot liek Mikalor clamps and can be had off evilbay for a couple of quid.. they come in lots of different sizes and have used them myself
  3. you could opt for fishing waterproofs... you know those luminous yellow or orange ones as i used to use those and even getting blasted with a hosepipe they never leaked...
  4. i thought it was on but forgot to add it WHITE IVECO 35-12 NX06 FPJ
  5. That's certainly something to work torwards, tho your list is looking quite impressive so far...or not so impressive...I'm not sure hahaha! You certainly get points for experience!!! Btw, what's a stoppie?? a stoppie is when you grab a handful of front brake and the arse end comes up in the air... the bikes arse end i mean not yours
  6. Its not mine folks it was posted up by a mate.... apparently this lad goes out of his way to help bikers who have broken down... he is a one man band and will be devastated if he loses his business because of it...I hope it gets found and all his gear is intact...

  9. might seem like a daft question but i have one of those cable oilers and have no idea how you use it... so how do you use it ??..
  10. theres a few specials kickign about mate.... if it was a little black one it could have been one of the lads on his rd/yz bitsa
  11. Well i have never been to a proper rally before and didnt think i would make this one but due to the kindness of a couple of members of the 2 stroke forum i was able to make it.. Then i was given a bike to ride on the rideout which was a Suzuki RH250 I know most of you arent into 2 strokes but the rideout from Squires to Seaways was awesome.. 105 2 stroke bikes blasting through the 45 mile journey was something to behold... All in all the best weekend i have had in years and cant wait for next year... here are a couple of vids taken on the day and for those who know their 2 strokes you will see some amazing bikes from Rd's, LC's X7s and a plethora of other exotics... Heres us leaving Squires "> having a break to let the tail enders catch up in a layby and finally Seaways cafe with some of us arriving "> Fantastic weekend with great people, fantastic bikes and lots of beer... life doesnt get any better than this
  12. erm right i understand now but still havent a clue what i have on mine... will either type fit or will O ring ones only work on O ring chains and same with X ring ones???
  13. ok well i didnt know hence why i asked.... can i ask whats the difference between an O ring chain and an X link chain?... i dont know what type i have and so i dont know which link to go for
  14. could i not use one of these ones with the lock plate thingy??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-CH ... 2573d6fd4e
  15. cheers EAB... just looked and it is stmaped with EK530 MVXZ... just one thing mate what stops the link plate from falling off on the soft link you have pointed me too as it doesnt have one of those lock slides ??
  16. argentum40

    Soft links

I am swapping a chain on my CBR and the one i am putting on hasnt got a Soft Link... I believe the chain is a 530 O ring chain but i could be wrong as i know sod all about chains... question is i need a pair of soft links and i dont know which ones to go for is there anyway of checking or finding out for sure
  17. i watched the womens hockey yesterday Revs and they certainly arent chunky girls...
  18. personally i would rather use abit more fuel than running the engine lean and on the edge of destruction... i run my 2 strokes slightly rich for that very reason and with the little 100 i hammer it all over.... no issues whatsoever because the carb is upjetted... now if i did that running lean the engine would have holed a piston by now... you mention the performance has improved which is the bonus of what they did.... if you want to increase your MPG upshift at lower revs and ride it slower... most modern 125 4 bangers couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding anyway
  19. hang on... why wont the firm you got the sprocket off change it for the correct one for your bike?... any firm worth their salt would do it no problem... theres no way i would be drilling a sprocket to fit.... firstly the steel is extremely hard and frankly i just dont see why you should have to
  20. i have had mine about a year and the only faults i can give it are its noisy and one of the visor retaining plastics cracked and broke...have used it in rain loads of times and its never leaked for me.... for what it cost its a good lid in my opinion
  21. what a horrendous day... as has been said though it does happen now and then when nowt goes right... i had a DAS lesson like that and everything i did was wrong... i wish you luck on your second attempt and you will soon be wondering what all the fuss was about
  22. right this is what i have checked today.... swapped coils over and plugs which made no difference.... Took head off what i thought was the poor cylinder and checked gasket, gave it a decoke while i was i there... no difference... carb and inlet rubber off again and after a thorough check of both and a clean of the carb again... no difference... finally i checked the compression on what i think is the bad cylinder and it has tons of compression for a 2 stroke... so back to square one again
