  1. yeah its a 1990 and well i am a proper dimwit as just checked the mirrors again and guess what erm they do fold just not where i thought they would
  2. Thanks Stu.. gonna be hard findin an infill panel as the model changed yearly and i must admit i was surprised that the mirrors dont fold and they are original as well..just have to resort to ebay and take my chance i spose
  3. Couple of questions Firstly she arrived today and the courier went to the front so i had to ride it around the back... Now the steering feels incredibly heavy to me although i realise that could be due to the fact i am used to my little 100cc bike... Is the steering heavy on em when stationery or slow moving?... Secondly i had to remove the mirrors as they dont fold in like modern bikes... can you get replacement folding mirrors for it?.. Thirdly are the fairing panels interchangeable as i need an infill panel for the top?.. Finally when removing the seat is it bolted on?... sorry for the novel but i know you lot are a knowledgeable bunch
  4. happy birthday Nat.... Have a goodun pet xx
  5. never heard of anyone havin probs with older bikes and using unleaded fuel... i use unleaded as it is and no problems... mind you it is a 2 stroke and they of course dont have valves... a lad along my block rides an 81 suzuki and has no problems with unleaded either...

  15. i wonder if any of the other 250 honda muddies would fit such as the superdream one etc... Anyhoo it looks amazing and i hope she rides as well as looks... I am a fan of bikes from that era anyway and have quite fancied a superdream again after having one as a youngun... keep ur eyes peeled on ebay as they will appear on there from time to time
  16. Lynn certainly did pass her MOD2 mate... She is saving up for her Bandit as we speak
  17. Good review Stu.... They do look the part i must admit
  18. what a fantastic thread mate.... every bike is worth saving if its viable to do so and the end result was well worth it.. bearing in mind your lack of experience Poley you truly did an amazing job fella... As has been said you should be richly proud of your achievement.. I hope you dont think i am being picky here but it would look so much better with a chrome rear muddy.. Lastly did it not have a chainguard?.. If its just missing then a chrome one of those too would finish her off beautifully

  22. have you done it yet?... if you have i bet the grin is as big as mine was
  23. What model was it? RXS100 When did you buy it and how much did it cost? bought in march 2011 and cost £250 ( inclusive of £100 courier cost from south coast) Good points? Its very nippy and being a 2 stroke is very light and can get up to dual carriageways speeds quite quickly, it can out perform alot of the modern 125s and certainly faster off the mark, parts are readily available off the net, tyres maybe thin but it grips the road very well and easy to ride through town traffic, cheap to tax and insure, air cooled so no problems with radiators etc. Bad points? the main bug bear is the 6v electrics, although on mine it was very good that doesnt apply to most, brakes are drum both back and front so it wont stop on a sixpence like modern bikes, gearbox can be a little clunky but other than that no problems Would you get another?I would certainly have another one as its such fun to throw around the twisties, Any other comments? these tend to get overlooked in favour of modern four stroke 125s but the grin factor is much higher.
