  1. Yeah been looking at them on the website. I'm a short arse so unfortunately the camera wouldn't see over the screen! I'm sure I'd find someplace to mount it, there certainly are enough types of mount for it
  2. Thinking about bike cams again! We have a voucher for £100 off a gopro which is tempting as it puts the gopro hero 3 black edition at £260 which includes waterproof housing and remote (or the silver edition at 180 but that doesn't include the remote which is £80 so worth getting the black if just for the remote). For the drift alternative it would be £295 which includes a remote but not waterproof housing (although thats not too important as I've not been diving in years and its waterproof without to 3m anyway). I'm put off the gopro as it couldn't really be helmet mounted. I have stick on lugs for my lid that I use on charity rides and the drag from them is bad enough at motorway speeds. I like that it can be chest mounted, although I am not sure how good a view that would provide on a faired bike with a smoked double bubble screen! The drift can be shoulder mounted with a similar harness. The gopro does hd slow motion which I think would be really cool. Also claims low light performance, not sure how that compares with the drift. :/
  3. Nothing stopping him. If you mean in terms of insurance then only if he is actually is the main driver of the 125. If not then that is fronting which is illegal.
  4. Well done, good luck with your mod 2
  5. I probably am, I go for a right over your shoulder look, I was never taught life savers by my instructor but it's something I knew I should do so did them as I thought they should be done... If you google motorcycle blind spot or similar you can find pics that will give you an idea where your blind spots are. The way my instructor showed me was with me on the bike she stood behind me to one side where I could see her in the mirrors and then walked forward until I could no longer see her.
  6. I don't wear glasses, but wondering if you are maybe trying to look too far round for your lifesavers?
  7. Up to the individual, personally I didn't bother getting a 125cc and that was the right decision for me. Riding around on a 125cc doesn't necessarily mean that the training to pass your test will cost less as you may be picking up bad habits etc without realising it (unless you are continuing with lessons whilst having 125cc/have someone who can offer guidance).
  8. My first challenge pic of the year http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/iiisecondcreep/Bikey/Challenge%20100%202013/IMG_0762_zps3a27579c.jpg
  9. Er..... I've fallen off a pushbike at <5mph and had very bloody knees and hands, I dread to think what would happen at 30mph

  13. My jacket (textile) is designed for gloves to go over the sleeves, but the sleeves are too long for me to be able to do this but as they are narrow its a struggle to fit my gloves under the sleeves!
  14. Today Ed and I went up Ben Ledi, which is twice as high as any hills we've done before so tomorrow I will likely be shuffling about in agony meant to be picking up my bike tomorrow but given the day after last weekends walk was much the same as I expect tomorrow to be where I had to use my hands to lift my legs up onto the sofa I am not sure thats going to be possible
  15. Through to Allenwater Brewery on Sunday for tour and tasting! Their Tinpot beers always seem to sell out first at the beer festivals so looking forward to trying them
  16. better luck next time
  17. I failed my mod 1 3 times by locking the back brake Better luck next time

  19. Richard O'Brian... its err.... different.
  20. It was Kircaldy Kawasaki we were going to book with and the forecast is worse for there than for glasgow. Glasgow still not great though :/ Even if my trousers weren't currently cutting me in half, Eds not been on his bike since sept and doesn't fancy the first ride out being on a brand new demo bike on a cold and wet day! Oh well, maybe next time!
