  2. We did central scotland to cornwall in 2012.
  3. For anyone looking for a helmet cam I've just seen that the Contour Plus is down to £200 on Tesco Direct, seems to be about £60 less than anywhere else http://www.tesco.com/direct/contour-plu ... d=492-9913
  4. My sister asked for a 90's dance music cd for her xmas, so I have got her one from Amazon. Currently listening to the digital download ">
  5. Doing DAS as lessons? Then it'll only cost you however many lessons you need + tests and bike hire for tests. here is a thread on what bikes you'll be able to ride: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=47068&p=769640#p769640
  6. Happy Birthday Alan, hope you have a great day!
  7. Belated Happy Birthday, hope you had a fab day
  8. Just logged into my tesco clubcard account to find some thieving see-you-next-tuesday has hacked in and stole over £100 of vouchers and spent them yesterday in Southampton. RAGING. I hope they f*cking CHOKE on whatever they bought.
  9. Ed has just bought a nexus 5, only had it a few days so no real feedback yet. Had the galaxy s2 before that and iphone 3gs before that. I have the iphone 4s and am disappointed by how easily the screen scratches compared with the 3gs (Eds is 4yrs old and there is barely a mark on it)
  10. This guy http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/08/luke-week ... ed-4178862
  11. Approaching a junction, 2 cars in front of me. Both those cars go into the right hand lane and I stay in the left. Both lanes go right. There is no left turn allowed and there is no straight on. After turning right the left hand lane can then take a left or continue straight on. Light goes green. Me and the car next door (a taxi) move off. Rather than continuing in his lane he drives straight over into mine (which had me in it), no indicators, nothing. Just went. Missed me only because I could sense an idiot nearby. He then proceeded to take the left turn. He was the car at the front, there was no reason at all for him not to have gone in the left hand lane to start with!!! It is a fairly busy road (centre of Glasgow) and it is very unlikely that there WON'T be cars in both lanes going forward >:[ Apparently its the season for them, think its time to get the GoPro on the dash!
  12. Nob of the day is mr white van man on the motorway coming home, I was in the overtaking lane passing 3 cars who were quite close together. Not enough space to pull in between them and anyway I'd have had to slow by about 20mph to do so!! I was just passing the 2nd one when mr white van man comes so close behind me all I can see in my rear view mirror is his front bumper and bonnet and starts flashing me to move over! What on earth did he expect to achieve by doing this?
  13. Anything metal. I take the fairing off and do everything I can see except brakes/wheels/silencer/anything you'll be touching. When you turn the bike on all the hot bits will smoke for a few minutes. Use a brush to apply as you only need a very thin layer. I wouldn't do rear sets/pegs as feet will slide right off
  14. I was in the car! Bashing the roof might have been tricky, maybe I should start carrying a big stick around for these occasions
  15. Bad luck, I failed my mod 1 three times doing the very same thing (having never done it previously in months of practice with my instructor!!!). Better luck next time
  16. BMW changing lanes into me. Despite me sounding the horn he continued on his merry way into my space, only to flash his hazards and wave once in. Because that makes it all ok Same happened yesterday except it was a female in an astra, at least she swerved back when I alerted her to her imminent crash. (edit: I was in my bright yellow car with lights on, not my bike) Seriously people, its called a BLIND SPOT for a reason. And don't assume that because you have "blind spot mirrors" that you no longer need to check your blind spot!!! Gives even more idiots an excuse not to be checking their blind spot than already do
  17. Used to drink a lot of tea and coffee, don't drink tea at all anymore. Coffee sometimes but I don't enjoy it as much as I used to :/
  18. Got home from my holibobs yesterday to find som wee pr*ck had nicked the cover off my VFR and tried to take the cover off the GSXR as well The cover was double clipped underneath the bike, and it was a tight fit so it couldn't just be pulled off. It wasn't new, about 2yrs old and had holes in it from when it was on the gsxr and it got blown over. The cover on the gsxr is split though thats probably not obvious in the dark, they probably only noticed when they started removing it so it was left half pulled off. FFS.
