Hi guys,I've recently took the clutch lever off my bandit to lube the cable and after putting it back I just don't seem to find that free play sweet spot. I like as little slack as possible so let's say 3,4mm and here's the weird thing,I have that much slack when riding but when the bike is left overnight and I feel the lever it feels as if there isn't any slack at all,if that's the case then does the shrinkage and change in slack be enough for it to cause slipping? Problem is if I set the slack when cold then when it warms up I end up with too much slack and kinda dosen't feel right. Any suggestions?

personally I wouldn't go cheap and cut corners if I was gonna buy something which effected the heart and mechanical parts of the machine. Would you eat a 30min old sausage roll from gregs or go nando's?both fills you up if you know what I mean

Speaking from my own experience,first off no matter how good and expensive a disc lock is,it wouldn't stop anyone stealing it and I'm not talking about lifting a bike into a van.I had my bike stolen and had the top of the range xena on it and teenagers managed to take it off,so on that basis its purely a deterrent! Another thing to bare in mind with this particular brand is the key mechanism can seize and jam,I've been through 3 of them.

Model:Mine was an RW6 2007 carb model,I owned it for about a year Price: As we all know honda speaks for itself and stands for reliability and quality so you are getting what you're paying for. A clean second hand model can be had for around the £1400 mark. Just make sure you do a good research and look around for an unmolested example as these find themselves in the hands of teenagers. Handling: This is probably where more people get scared away when look at this bikes thin frame and almost bicycle alike tyres. They even get slated for being tiny but they're not! You are riding a single cylinder machine with 124cc displacement(one of the lightest in its class) and the steering geometry,tyres and the overall size of the machine is just right and more than adequate for the power output. (Don't forget Honda marketed 150cc and 250cc for the far east countries and it's the same frame!). If you want a 125 that could look far bigger than what it is,go buy a yzf125 or RS125(you will pay in the long run) It doesn't take you very long to get used to the way it rides as its very simple to ride and will handle well down twisty roads. Reliability: This is where you don't have to even think twice,if serviced correctly they will go forever.During my 1 year ownership I put 10k miles on mine it hasn't missed a beat! Would I buy Another?: Tell you the truth if it wasn't for upgrading for a big bike I would never dare thinking about selling mine. A bulletproof engine that returns 100mpg even when you give it some and handles fairly well,I couldn't really fault it and would certainly recommend to new riders or those who are looking for a machine purely for commuting. you wont be disappointed. Conclusion: The only concern you might have is comfort in long distance rides. CBR125r is very lightweight and that can be a real issue with cross winds and climbing hills.Seat wasn't particularly design for comfort and is pretty small. In my opinion anyone over 6 foot tall might feel to cramped and ridiculous on one. All in all It's an honest little bike that dosen't have anything to shout about,it will go mile after mile after mile.

Another handy tip is to look at shark's website for safety ratings of each helmet

Not a fan personally as I clean and lube my chain once a week and find WD40 to be an excellent cleaner.with regards to lubing as others mentioned I do it more frequently if its wet

When I lube mine I take the lever off and spray some gt85 into it,works fine

can you not put the tent on top of the sleepingbag on the seat as that is safer, plus are you wider than your mirrors? if not filtering will be fine I'm not wider than my mirrors but the tent is unfortunately, lol ,it seemed more secure strapped to the back of the rucksack but just sat on the bike I got a sneaky suspicion that it'll effect my balance riding,I best strap it to the pillion,cheers bex

Hi Alan,looks like my headlight wires are connected the wrong way round, when I have the full beam sign on the dash its actually on main beam and vices versa,any help would be very much appreciated,also like to learn how to properly lube my clutch cable

Was gonna do an oil change but can't be bothered with taking all the fairing off,as tango said I might do the sensible thing and ''leave it alone''. tire pressure check and chain lube,that'll do..........don't forget to fill it up with petroleum

I was just trying to organize all my gear,sleeping bag shall be strapped to the pillion seat,no problem there.my tent however will be strapped to the rucksack,its going to stick out by about 8inches on either side. I just wanted to clarify whether it is legal to carry load wider than your motorcycle? If so then all I gotta remind myself of is the fact that I'm slightly wider when filtering.lol Cheers James

It just occurred to me....how did we charge our phones at the rally last time? I've got one of those pocket size power packs for the iphone(can be found inexpensively on eblag) but I can't see it lasting me for 2 days,might have to buy another one
