I can copy & paste the important updates here for you after I've registered on your behalf.

Okidoky the organisational method for this is only on FaceAche so theres only two ways this can be done. First, and hugely easier for me is anyone who wants to ride this event temporarily joins facebook & joins the main group & the group dedicated to where they live. Marshalling will mean folks cannot join mid ride & due to security for Captain Tom will not make it to the final destination. Second, and I will do this but you can imagine it's a pain if theres a quite a few TMBF members want this, post on here where you live or pm me & I will join the relevant dedicated FB page for updates & paste them on this thread. I do at the moment have some time on my hands Let me know what you guys want

I've no idea either, I asked the main group for a page for Staffordshire & before I could finish my cup of tea I was an admin with only one click. I'll pm the main admin about how to broadcast outside of face ache & get back to you

For all my biker friends, if you have not heard through the grapevine there is to be a Thank you ride for Captain Tom Moore, who has raised over £26 million for the NHS by walking with his zimmer frame around his garden, There are links below for various regions around the UK for bikers to get together, if there is no link to a group near you PM Fred Staszewski Rct and we can get one sorted, please copy and paste or share this to your own Facebook pages. Please also join the Main Facebook page so numbers can be easily tallied. The Capt Tom Moore Ride of Thanks 2020 currently has the following RV points which have their own Facebook groups linked below. Main Group 6000+ Members https://www.facebook.com/groups/152836772824696/?ref=share Scotland https://www.facebook.com/groups/228738341687985/?ref=share Wirral https://www.facebook.com/groups/1134175623610219/?ref=share Merseyside https://www.facebook.com/groups/2637952063194521/?ref=share North East https://www.facebook.com/groups/251885732657894/?ref=share East Yorkshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/661166594659093/?ref=share Yorks/Humberside https://www.facebook.com/groups/2620757858248017/?ref=share East Midlands - Nottingham/Derby M1 junc 25 https://www.facebook.com/groups/238476244180461/?ref=share Derbyshire - Chesterfield M1 junc 29 https://www.facebook.com/groups/681696632663173/?ref=share Leicestershire https://www.facebook.com/groups/1106259083089496/?ref=share West Midlands (Black Country) https://m.facebook.com/groups/592314248035603/?ref=share Northamptonshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/939773873119916/?ref=share Warwickshire (inc Rugby, Coventry, Nuneaton) https://www.facebook.com/groups/271619297208914/?ref=share Norwich https://www.facebook.com/groups/2589366424716269/?ref=share Colchester https://www.facebook.com/groups/2678962619057557/?ref=share Suffolk https://www.facebook.com/groups/662249074345602/?ref=share Cambridgeshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/240113417193931/?ref=share Stamford - Lincolnshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/3697321407009778/?ref=share Skegness and Mablethorpe https://www.facebook.com/groups/1606593286156230/?ref=share Milton Keynes https://www.facebook.com/groups/581532219125751/?ref=share Hants/West Sussex https://m.facebook.com/groups/225694982103939/?ref=share Kent - Clackett Lane https://www.facebook.com/groups/232920844610228/?ref=share London https://www.facebook.com/groups/356382131985030/?ref=share Berkshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/850544045427247/?ref=share Oxfordshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/639299630253168/?ref=share Wiltshire - Lyneham / Castle Coombe TBC https://www.facebook.com/groups/225972658625109/?ref=share Gloucestershire https://www.facebook.com/groups/1406153332918969/?ref=share Somerset https://www.facebook.com/groups/218102749450975/?ref=share Bristol https://www.facebook.com/groups/274646673580726/?ref=share Portsmouth & Southampton https://www.facebook.com/groups/229159061753088/?ref=share South Wales https://www.facebook.com/groups/562250507748342/ South Yorkshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/583319472300595/ Warwickshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/271619297208914/ Staffordshire https://www.facebook.com/groups/1433673590160281/ Mid & North Wales https://www.facebook.com/groups/656335415206659/ If you’d like to volunteer to lead one for your area please reach out

I just remembered wearing my eye patch was the time I was working for Tarmac working the hoist lift at a site in Birmingham a 13 storey building opposite the Town Hall. Anyway the hoist didn't have an auto stop & almost straight away I had a very annoyed Irish chippy shouting " up, up more, f##kin down, up, what the f$#k you playing at f##kin up, UP " I was taken off the hoist.

My Dad lost vision in his left eye from glaucoma & he had problems judging close distances too, pouring tea at the side of the cup etc, He was fine with longer distances & took extra care turning right in his car. He informed DVLA & had no problems from them. He's no longer with us but I get free eye checks because of his glaucoma.

Genuine question, but first some info. When I was 20 ish I had a piece of steel flake go into my eye whilst grinding some metal. Hospital removed it and I had to wear an eye patch for about a week. At about the 4th day I suddenly felt I had normal vision as though my one working eye's information was translated by my brain as a 'full picture'. This happened a few times but only for a split second. My question to Bigtee and any other monocular folks is have you experienced this ?

I voted maybe, I was at the London MCN bike show & on day 2 a Chinese lady next to me coughed in the queue in the booze shop afterwards. I was fine for a week & a half & since then had some bug that just will not bloody shift, feels like it's going then regroups & comes back, but, it could just be normal flu, fever, snots, cough etc

Damp leather help......please :-(
Tankbag replied to APR's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Glad it's fixed APR I was going to suggest a dry cleaners as they use pretty strong chemicals which I would have thought would kill off any bacteria & replace the nasty niffs with a reassuring chemical niff. -
Helmet fogging
Tankbag replied to Older biker's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
How long does this stuff (fog tech) work for because the spectacle problem is the only problem I have now and that’s only basically at traffic lights when queuing? I've found the FogTech works even after cleaning my specs with a glasses wipe ( Aldi) & lasts for a few weeks. If you clean the specs & that cleans some of the fogtech off it still works but not aswell. I frequently have to ride at walking pace & haven't fogged up yet. The only problem is the fogtech seems to make the specs more likely to get spec case dust / etc to stick to them & deffo don't touch the specs with your fingers or you'll be looking through a fingerprint. I swear by the stuff & a pinlock, sorted.
