I know what being a contractor means and am also aware of the advantages and disadvantages of it. Martin is a contracting project manager and it is something I am considering also.

Fozzie, if you don't like the difference in pay and bonus that contractors get over permanent staff why don't you become a contractor? My understanding is that there are justifiable reasons as to why those contracting get higher rates and in some cases bonus'.

Any idea on a date? Myself and uk190 may be very interested in this.

By not dropping the forks through you will have changed the geometry of the bike, therefore changing the handling. I have dropped the rear on the speed triple by 25mm and the front by about 10mm which a tad less than the suspension expert wanted to go. Sounds crazy but even dropping them by 10mm makes a huge difference to the handling, before dropping the front it was like riding with pillion.

Me possibly. Hopefully having my suspension properly set up next week so would be a good chance to give it a proper test.

Take the end caps off, drill the spot welds that hold the standard baffles in place, buy 56mm perforated exhaust tube off eBay cut tubes to the right length wrap in exhaust matting refit end caps and re pop rivet end caps on. You end up with something that sounds just like an Akro for less than £40. Simples. This is exactly what UK190 did on his 2008 R1.

I think myself and UK190 will be going for race day on the Monday.
