  1. Hmmm....could be sorely tempted by this......North Wales is great.......When it's not p*ssing down.....
  2. Can't rig something up mate......with a "normal" brake light switch?
  3. What!!.....you must have taken it to the wrong place Steve...... Hope you can get it sorted quick.....gonna be a cracking weekend for biking......may even get to use the vented jacket for the firt time this year......
  4. Good find Steve! ..........this reminds me why I don't take my bike to dealers for servicing!
  5. Sorry Jayne......got to go to a bl**dy meeting in London next Tuesday evening.......complete waste of time....and I'll miss a ride on the bike too.....
  6. If we're around we'll try to get along to this......probably start from Triumph in Wellingborough......
  7. It's still under warranty Ollie......so the dealer should fix it.....

    Radiator leak!

Distilled water and antifreeze in the correct ratio........if you use tap water it can fur up the waterways in the engine.....much like your kettle furs up.......and don't forget that antifreeze also helps the cooling system......so it keeps the bike cooler in summer too......
  9. I think from what I heard that following last years Keswick weekend the current campsite would be less than receptive to a repeat performance......
  10. Congrats Kitty.......and good luck with the mod 1.......

    Radiator leak!

Oh......and you leave it in the system as it will continue to seal any other leaks if they occur......you don't need to drain and refill the system..... And.....I tend to use distilled water in the cooling system on my bikes.......stops the waterways furring up with limescale.......

    Radiator leak!

I used about 1/3rd of the smaller bottle in my Speed 4.......with no ill effects......
  13. It's only just been serviced! Get the bike shop to have a look as it's probably something they've done!

    Radiator leak!

I used k-seal on my speed 4........worked a treat. It remains liquid until it gets hot and comes into contact with air....ie, through a hole in a rad. But if your leak is that big it may be the rad has split......so may need a new core......or a new rad.
  15. Something like this? http://goo.gl/maps/GydeG Not quite Moo.......we normally go up to Tesco's in Huntingdon, Right through Wood Walton....then through to the Old A1......up to Stilton....then we'd go Yaxley, past Hampton......a605 then right through the lanes to Wansford.....and then I get a bit woolly about the route....but it weaves it's way through the back roads to Edith Weston...... Neil may be able to explain it better as he knows the route better than me......
  16. Today's nomination goes to my dispatcher at the office.......not only did he not call me to tell me where I was required to go tomorrow.....but has ordered parts to be sent direct to site where they could turn up at any time up to 4pm.....and I drive past the DHL depot on my way to this site and could have dropped in there and collected the parts at 8am....been on site by 9am....job done by 10am...... Efficient use of my time?.........
  17. I won't mention the forecast for the weekend then Stu......
  18. But....with age comes wisdom.........or at least it did until I came along.......
  19. Damn....Stu beat me to the draw again....
  20. Looks like it would do the job......don't need to be fancy.....just be able to measure up to 20v DC.......
  21. Awwwwww, I proper love you and Bob!! Can't turn that offer down - I wasn't fishing for an offer tho - don't like holding you both up tbh. But if you're sure, will say a big fat yes for Wallie & I! Which way - this way? http://goo.gl/maps/lV92R We were going to meet at the Marina....then head up the old A1 to Yaxley...then through to Peterborough services.....a605 for a bit...then the back roads across to Edith Weston......Neil knows a nice route that keeps us off most of the main roads......
  22. Raffle Tickets bought......good luck with the build guys......
  23. Fuses get stressed over time.....so it may have just gone due to age........way to tell is to look at the fuse wire.....if it's all blobby around the break and lots of black burn marks, then it's blown in a big way and there'e probably a reason for that.....whereas, if you can just see a small gap in the fuse wire it will have just fatigued due to age...... If the fuse splatted....replace and see if it blows straight away....which would indicate a short-circuit somewhere or very low resistance.......if it doesn't blow straight away.......start the bike and measure the voltage going to the battery......if the Reg/Rec has died it could be pumping too much current at too high voltage into the battery......which will cook the fuse again.....and the battery......
  24. No probs Darren.......Sunday was talked about at the Rally.....and with the forecast we thought "why not"........but I'm sure you'll have a good day out with the family...... We'll organise another run in the not too distant future.....and maybe give a little more notice.......
  25. Put up some details Bob, I may be up for it. Was thinking of doing Hunny but anywhere when the predicted weather is going to be good. Sorry Neil.....I posted it in the general rideout section....then realised that not everyone goes to there......so I've posted in the Cambs and also Midlands section.......timing is flexible......so if you want to meet a bit earlier or later let me know......
