1. I'd recommend Vango tents......Our 3 man tent with front porch area is a few years old now, and still does us proud...... I'd be looking at something with a front porch area that you can keep your wet gear away from the sleeping compartment.......I've shared my 2 man tent with soggy bike gear....it's not fun......
2. Happy birthday Fred.......sounds like you need to get wet on the inside too.....keep the balance.....
3. From earlier in the year......
4. Peaked a little early eh?......
5. Are you going to bring your pizza Welcome mat for outside your tent again, Ricky?......
6. The DAS is the test...... Obviously it's your choice how you tackle it.....but I'd just go straight for it......don't forget that doing your DAS with a riding school includes the training, which could be useful. ......and you run the risk of picking up some bad habits during your time on the 125.......just my opinion of course.....
7. Congrats on the pass.......and good luck for the MOD2. ......
8. Good luck with it fella..... it's mainly training, so you're well ahead of the game by the sounds of it.....
9. Hopefully you can make it Ricky ....be good to see you again..... That's a shame eastanglianbiker ......maybe we'll see you at one of the local meets?.....
10. An ABBA stand would be the best option I think......
11. Yeah.....I was just thinking the same thing, Ian.......
12. I thought the agreement was beer at the rally Stu .......
13. Steering locks are next to useless on bikes......I'd just stick with the non-standard one if I were you.....
14. I go on a couple of Triumph Facebook groups......Both are ok, but one of them can get a bit over-moderated and middle aged bikers throwing hissy fits on a regular basis.....and the guy that started that group is a bit of a nob........unlike our esteemed leader on here..... But, I think the mix of people on here is much better.......and the searchability of the forum beats the FB groups.......just MHO of course......
15. Welcome to TMBF mate. ........ If you are over 24yrs you can go straight for the full A license.......
16. Might make it along there later in August, as my Friday night squash buddies are both away on hols....... Erm......edit.......maybe the first Friday in Sept......
17. The Reg/Rec failing on hondas is a common problem......you need to check if the battery is being charged by the charging circuit.......For that you'll need a voltmeter of some description. ......check to battery voltage with the ignition switched off and on.......then start the bike and check the battery voltage at tick over and then at about 2500rpm.......let us know what the voltages are......

Yes Clive Wood is the man..... Muddy Sump does a good job too.....and he comes to you.....but you need to book him well in advance....
19. I'd go over the whole lot with course, and then fine paper in the sander.....The new paint needs a decent surface to key into, but it needs to be fairly matt, without any deep scratches that would show through the new paint finish.......and don't make the same mistake as a "professional " paint sprayer that used to be on here made.....Make sure you thoroughly degrease the surfaces before painting, or the new paint will just crinkle up.......especially around the filler hole on the tank...... And, as RantMachine says, you're best off removing any badges, etc rather than trying to mask round them......
20. Looks good, Stu.......

Nothing.......If you trust the mechanic to actually maintain the hub....... I'm very much DIY.......

I've got one of those in the link.......much better than the flimsy thing in the toolkit....... Remember to keep the hub maintained though.....or it'll seize up.......
23. Stu has a diagram around somewhere which shows how to wire an accessory via a relay....... Beat me......
24. there you go.. how to make it complicated when you're a complete novice with electrics. and nervous about causing an issue. easy. Just saying that's what I'd do.......that way it'll only burst into flames when you turn the ignition on....... Seriously though.....These things draw a small amount of current all the time = flat battery if you don't use the bike for a while. Also, I wouldn't wire anything directly to the battery without a fuse in line......
25. Is the engine oil level ok?
