1. What's brown and sounds like a bell? DUNGGGGGG!
2. I think most schools include the CBT in the DAS training if you don't already have a current one......but maybe check with your instructor......
3. Welcome to TMBF mate. ......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ...... I'd be looking at a Honda NC700X if I were you......very frugal on the fuel, and they seem to be coming in around the £3000 mark for some fairly tidy bikes.....
4. I think your dad may be right.....If the tank breather is blocked you'll get these symptoms. ......

broken cbr 125

Welcome to TMBF mate. . . . . pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ..... So, when you rebuilt the carb did you set the needle height correctly.....and is the float set correctly too.......sounds like fuel starvation ......maybe blocked main jet too.....
6. Bad luck Phooey......hope you enjoy your holiday..... Hopefully it'll all mend ok, mate......
7. Have a good break, mate......

Sober October

I hope you're more successful than TC was with his dry January!...... I'll send some dosh your way, Ricky......
9. Only had the visor on my Bell mist up once......and that was in some pretty extreme weather.....The visor material is pretty thick, which I think helps.......never had a pin lock. .....

Service costs?

Hard to say, mate......big differences between main dealers and independants. .....give it a couple of months and the dealer workshops will go quiet, so you can negotiate a better deal on the cost.....
11. I wouldn't run it too much with the suspected duff battery or you may end up cooking the Reg/rec and Stator....
12. Welcome to TMBF mate. . . . . . pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ....... When you say that it required some work to get it going, did this include air filter, oil and filer and plugs?......how quickly does it spin over when starting (these bikes really do need a decent battery or you can damage the spray clutch, which costs a fortune to repair!)......pull the plugs and check their colour to see how the mixture is......check the fuel tap to make sure it's operating correctly. ......
13. Congrats mate......happy bike shopping......
14. Delayed falling off motorbike.....very nasty condition!.....
15. Also.....Make sure it's not a duff battery, that's pulling the charging voltage down.....how old is the battery?
16. The Reg/rec and stator coils are a common failure on these bikes......also check the condition of the connector to the Reg/rec as they can get cooked..... There's a lot of info on checking and upgrading the charging circuit components on the TriumphRAT forum.....
17. Although this diagram says Hyosong, I'm fairly sure it'll be the same for your bike.......The wires you show I think are from the Magneto (bottom centre of diagram)
18. My guess would be that they're generator wires, running from the generator on the engine to the Regulator/rectifier.....but, without actually tracing them myself, that's a bit of a guess......
19. The Meta alarm/immobiliser on my Speedy seems to do a decent job...... You may find that, to enjoy an insurance discount, the alarm may need to be installed by a registered installer..... My insurance broker wanted a copy of the installation document.....
20. A red CD175 was my first geared bike......bulletproof.....and I wasn't gentle with it either..... My upgrade was to an RD350B.......and then a Triumph T120 Bonneville. .....
21. Unfortunately I think that manuals and wiring diagrams for a lot of the Chinese bikes are a bit sketchy...... Maybe if you tell us specifically what the problem is we may be able to help.....
22. Give it a day or 2 to calm down......then rebook......maybe somewhere else......
23. We normally aim for Midday, to give those with further to come some kind of lie-in on a Sunday morning. ......
24. Exactly.....to prevent your tank emptying its contents if the float sticks in the carb.......worst case scenario is that it fills the airbox with fuel, which can then allow the fuel into the sump, via the crankcase breather.....
25. Deffo....1 coil fires plugs 1 & 4 and the other coil fires 2 & 3....... So it sparks on the compression and exhaust strokes on all cylinders.....
