From an article in The Spectator, which can hardly be described as left wing or a supporter of Jeremy Corbyn..... Here’s Geoffrey Alderman, Professor of Politics at the University of Buckingham: "The grounds for labelling him an anti-Semite simply do not exist. The fact of the matter is that Corbyn has an impressive record of supporting Jewish communal initiatives. For instance he was recently supportive of Jewish efforts to facilitate the speedy issue of death certificates by the north London coroner. In 2015 he took part in a ceremony in his Islington constituency to commemorate the founding of the North London Synagogue. In 2010 he put his name to an Early Day Motion (tabled by Diane Abbott) calling on the UK government to facilitate the settlement of Yemeni Jews in Britain. Indeed I could fill this entire article with a list of philo-Semitic EDMs that Corbyn has signed since he was first elected as Labour MP for Islington North in 1983." But, if you're happy to be spoon fed your opinions by a media that is either comprised of publications that are headquartered off-shore to avoid paying UK tax and are sh*t scared of Corbyn getting into power and enacting the EU directive on clamping down on tax evasion, or other "news" sources that are little more than propaganda machines selling neoliberalism, then go right ahead. Anyway, I really don't buy that Danny Baker made "an honest mistake". Yeah, he may have got away with it as a joke with his mates down the pub on Saturday night.....but put it on Social Media? Really? He's either stupid or guilty as charged....you decide.
