  1. Best advice is make a list of bikes you like and then go and sit on as many as you can.......you'll then find bikes that feel ok and others that don't. .....then go from there......
  2. A blocked idle jet?
  3. Yep.....sounds like clutch drag....
  4. Also check that there's actually fuel in the float bowls and it's not water......

    Handling Issue

    That tyre looks a bit squared off Beefy.....that'll make it feel like you're on a knife edge when you lean into a corner. I'd say it's due for replacement.....
  8. To pump tyres up, get an ALDI outfit for £89 To restore the jag you need 14cfm and a 100-150 tank on 3hp running off 16amp mains connector like a cooker type point. Will that do? I know that sort of thing as I restore vehicles for a living. The XJ that Mawsley is referring to is his Yamaha XJ900.....so a slightly smaller project....

    Day 5.......and it's beginning to show....
  17. It's something I've often considered but never actually pursued.......normally just rely on the foam one that comes with the jacket......maybe I should look into these a bit more seriously. .....
  18. On my second bike (RD350) I grabbed a bit too much front brake on a damp, greasy road after having new brake pads fitted......by the time the bike slid into the car in front I had bailed out and was standing on the footpath watching it.......so, it's easy done mate.....don't beat yourself up over it.....

  24. So......it's time for me to grow my silly moustache again, which Bonniebird really loves! But I believe it's for a good cause.....to raise funds and raise awareness for Prostate cancer, Testicular Cancer and Mental health issues. November is not a good time to be asking for donations, with Christmas just appearing on the horizon, but if anyone could chuck a couple of quid into my fundraising effort I'd really appreciate it......cheers..... http://mobro.co/bobbillbarker" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Finances....or the lack of have slowed things a bit......
