  1. For those interested this is the route I am going to be doing on Saturday. Not the most direct, but probably the easiest. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=7069779204714438105,52.934647,-1.498522%3B213737191762219213,52.930150,-1.484850%3B16028963046968504814,52.923787,-1.455270%3B15267607030783223584,52.870883,-1.394745&saddr=DE22+4AA&daddr=Unknown+road+%4052.934647,+-1.498522+to:Kedleston+Rd+%4052.930150,+-1.484850+to:A52+%4052.923787,+-1.455270+to:52.871746,-1.387239+to:DE74+2RP&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=4&sz=15&via=1,2,3,4&sll=52.867109,-1.390543&sspn=0.019611,0.040169&ie=UTF8&ll=52.925153,-1.465473&spn=0.03917,0.080338&z=14
  2. This is the perfect opportunity then. Put em on. By the time you have done the miles you are going to do on sat, they will be sorted!!
  3. I think Stedebs is joining us, and if she has not killed FC for the calves comment he might be joining us. Maybe a couple of others as well. Will have to wait and see.
  4. Don't worry about that Barbie, we always go as fast as the slowest rider. Don't mind a slow ride at all. No one else has suggested a time, so I will and say between 10 and 10:30.
  5. One last thing mate. If you are going along the A610 and you see Ikea on your left hand side, you have missed the small slip road. Do a U-turn at the Ikea roundabout and have another go!
  6. Here you go mate This is from the Fish Pond Car park in Matlock bath to MFN http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=DE4+3NR&daddr=NG16+3JE&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=12.292461,41.132813&ie=UTF8&z=11 My poor directions would say: Leave Matlock Bath heading towards Derby (Turn Left out of the fish pond car park). Follow that road until you see a sign for A610 which is a left turn. (There is a speed camera just before the junction to turn onto the A610. Follow that road until you come to a roundabout. This is a mahoosive roundabout that joins the A610 to the A38, but you want to go straight across it and follow the A610 still. Straight on at the next roundabout (McDonalds on one corner) Follow the A610 at the next roundabout... I think only 2 options on this one. One takes you to a police station, and the other is A610. Left at the next one (Again following A610) Keep going along that road (There is another camera just after some traffic lights near a car sales place) You will then come to an area where there are a few shops and a lot of roads joining. Again follow the A610 at this point (More traffic lights, turn left, following signs for A610) Fun road!!!! Follow this road until you come to a small slip road..... Can't help much from that point, but you will probably see a load of bikers anyway so follow the crowd.
  7. It is a twistie road up there mate, no doubt about it!! Would love to join you mate, but work is annoyingly stopping me.
  8. Im not camping, but I still think there is an entry fee. Got one myself just in case. I think due to popularity, I think it's ticket only.
  9. Right, just going to confirm this to all that are coming, thinking about coming, trying to find babysitters so they can come, not sure if they can be bothered to come, or all the other things!! I will be at the Fish Pond Car Park in Matlock between 6pm and 6:15pm. See ya all tomorrow!!
  10. Come out of Matlock heading toward Derby on the A6. As you leave Matlock you come to some Traffic Lights controlling a huge cross roads. Turn right there. Head up the hill, and just as you reach the top you will see a right turn with a sign for Carsington Water. (Just before a bridge) Follow the signs. Actually from there a few miles of fun twisties to enjoy. Not more than 10 minutes from the Fish Pond car park mate.
  11. I know its only a few minutes from Matlock, I know, but Carsington Water is a nice place to go.
  12. Right, if anyone wants to join me in riding there I am arranging a meeting place of here. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=DE22+4AA&ie=UTF8&ll=52.930094,-1.506114&spn=0.011408,0.029182&z=15 This is a McDonalds so we can meet in the car park. Don't know what time everyone wants to meet though, so suggestions are welcome? Personally I was thinking 10am? The show opens at 9am.
  13. I reckon so Debs. Should be good. Chance to ride other bikes as well!!!
  14. I have been told this is good on a Tuesday night. Next Tuesday the weather is good I think I will be making my way down there. Only a quick blast up the A38.
  15. I am going to be arranging a rideout for those that want to meet up. I am thinking about using a McDonalds in Derby which is on the A38. Easy to find, and coming from your end dead easy.
  16. Is the name of the pub opposite the Mining Museum carpark in Matlock Bath Because their is a fishpond next to the car park!!
  17. Just been looking at the weather, and it's looking good. Bright sunshine and a temp of 22 degrees!! Anyone fancy making this a rideout? I was thinking we could meet in Derby and make our way out from there? I am happy to organise a meeting point if people are up for the ride out?
  18. No worries mate. I, and probably a few others will be at the fish pond at 6:15pm.
  19. Here mate http://www.mfn-club.co.uk/ It's on the outskirts of Nottingham. Well worth it if you like staring at bikes and having a coke and a natter.
  20. WHAT THE F*CK IS GOING ON HERE!!!!!!!! Nah, she is right, although I will be holding manly rugsacks, not girly handbags!!
  21. Well as usual the forecast has changed to a nice day now!! If it stays that way I will be going.
  22. Looks interesting. May well go and have a look.
  23. Urrrrmmmm. Rossi can pull it off, let's hope no one else thinks they should try...... Although the whole grid doing it for just one race would look hilarious!!
  24. New business idea. Take photo of someone pulling that face, then stick it to their helmet for them. I can see it happening.... Then within 6 months it will be as sad as wearing a mohawk on your helmet!!
  25. Brilliant!!
