Local weather report is that it's clear until 4pm so far.... When are they right though If what they are saying is correct, I will be on the bike. It's gonna be a bit nippy though.

Might be up for that as well, although I am a slow rider. Matlock sounds good. don't worry, I'm a slow rider, not keen on filtering yet, and tend to be on the steady side....... Don't care how long it takes to get there....I intend to see some of the scenery on the way there...... Sounds good. I would say Im a steady rider as well. I am doing a bit of filtering, but will often be sat in traffic thinking their is no way of filtering and suddenly a bike will fly past. Just a confidence thing that will come in time I guess. Compared to what I was like a month a go I have changed a lot.

Hoping the rain / hail / snow will hold off.

Doubt MFN would allow that. They have their own licensed bar, so I think competition on there land would probably not go down too well.

It's the Honda for me. I don't know what it is about Honda's but before I even got into bikes I thought they were the best looking. Of course, all the Duc's come a close 2nd, and the Aprilla is nice.

Aye, but that could be construed as a slightly different kettle of fish Chic, you'd have a good idea that that'd be a safe risk .... good point and true other circumstance I'd consider not wearing a lid have also been mentioned. Generally I wear tailor my gear as to what kind of riding i'm going to be doing and the conditions, nipping into town (10 miles of backroads) if the weather is OK I'll wear an armoured light weight bomber jacket and kevlar jeans. longer runs and especially if I'm going to be riding fast its full leathers and back protector, Touring its textile jacket, leather trousers and backprotector. Problem is even on a 2 minute journey in perfect weather while you are riding very carefully will not stop some blind OAP pulling out on you and sending you over the bonnet of their car. Remember most road accidents happen within something like a 10 mile radius of that persons home. Has to be ATGATT if you want to be safe.

Without a doubt. If nothing else, it hides the ugly!! Seriously though I like to be able to do things like feed myself, go to the toilet on my own, walk, talk, and carry on riding a bike!!

I see your point mate, but personally I am happy about it. Remember the last time the beeb had F1 things like digital TV with BBC3 and BBC4 did not really exist. Neither did the almighty red button!! Hopefully with all the extra stuff we should get good coverage.
