  2. I have the Vantrue F1 front (4k) (1080) rear. Meets all of your requirements for around £300.00.
  3. I recall she was in Easy Rider. I watched her on youtube dancing not so long ago and she was moving like a teenager.
  4. Been using Rhinowalk luggage for a year now. Three tours of Scotland (one in storm Kieran) and a tour of Wales in the summer and not once have I had water ingress. No fraying straps, nothing going loose. I put a washing up bowl in mine to keep the shape and aid getting stuff in and out by sliding the bowl in/out. Good value luggage.
  5. Unopened. Rainseal trousers in medium £20.00 to your door (UK)

    Tyres

I have very recently had a pair of Michelin Road 6 for my Tracer 7 which I understand is a well respected and popular tyre. All in fitted for around £400. A year ago, similar situation, different bike but had Metzeler Roadtech 01SE for the same price, another superb tyre (which I preferred). The price you mention is obscene.
  7. Yesterday I finished another tour of Scotland, second time this year. In April it was on fresh Pilot 4's. This time, fresh Pilot 6. Similar conditions, I couldn't tell the difference in ride/noise/grip etc.
  8. Setting off for another tour of Scotland. My fourth in two years and the weather looks good. Hope to park up around Applecross just to hear the stags roar as they come into rut. A scary sound for those who haven't heard it before. Sheer drama!
  9. I had a tyre with 43 miles on it replaced due to a puncture (£229). Then I fitted a lowering link to drop it 1 inch from standard. Now both feet are flat on the ground.
  10. It's just off centre and in one of the deep grooves. 43 miles on the clock since replacing it. Had the bike booked in for a service for tomorrow and after three weeks the dealer calls me 20 minutes ago to cancel His spanner wanted a long weekend
  11. Tried two dealers and both said they won’t repair. New tyre it is. Where’s my saw

    Plugged Tyre

Just had new tyres (Michelin Road 6) and after a 43 mile trip I noticed a tack in the rear. I pulled it out and obviously a very slow deflate took place. I plugged it with the sticky plug type and trimmed it down and reinflated the tyre; it seems to be holding well. How likely is this going to be a problem for me as I have a trip to Scotland in a fortnight and just don't want it spoiling my trip. Do I chance it or is it worth taking to a specialist to do a professional job?
  13. Second year of full licence.
  14. I got my renewal through yesterday for my Tracer 7. Last year £419. This year, £220. Shocked at the reduction in a world of bend over and shaft me.
  15. I was at my RE dealer today and I must admit the RE bikes on show were just beautiful in the flesh, hard to pick a favourite but the red/white Supermeteor pipped it for me. Followed by the Interceptor with chrome tank etc. Whilst there I did take a look at the CF Moto MT450 and had a sit on it. It really was well put together and sat next to the new Himalayan it looked the more impressively engineered bike.
  16. I meant they sent me the entire rear camera f.o.c not just the cable.
  17. Vantrue F1. Front (4k) 1080 rear and very easy app to work with. I broke the rear camera cable and Vantrue sent a replacement free of charge. Superb service.
  18. Apologies, should be in Motorcycle related.
  19. Complete unit with everything that the item came with new from J&S (receipt included). World maps. Wifi updates. Tomtom traffic. Glove friendly. In truly excellent condition, like new. £170 to your door via RMSD or collection possible from B45 postcode.
  20. I might be imagining things but wasn't there a bike with a front rest between the rider and the tank that acted as a damper to stop the rider going over the front? I's sure it was around in the late 70's early 80's.
  21. I confess that for the first twenty of those years I was carrying a rifle or shotgun as I hunted both deer and wildfowl for three weeks of every year. Always alone and in some wild places. Following an overnight epiphany I could no longer bring myself to slay another creature. Now I hunt with binoculars exclusively. I tried photography but the equipment I found was restrictive when "belly crawling" I still stalk the beasts but they will always be there again for someone else to see. Wildfowl is my main interest and Scotland provides some of the best places to watch them, especially in the winter season. Crazy thing is that up to ten years ago I had never seen a red squirrel in Scotland. I knew Lockerbie was a stronghold for them so I went there to see them however I stopped at Tesco in Annan (literally just over the border) to get some supplies and on the way out there was one at the side of the road. Not the way I wanted to see my first red. The tank bag on my bike is exclusively for binoculars but getting around the route takes me much longer than expected. Stop and look around is my only advice to anyone touring Scotland, it's all there you just need to look.
  22. I have visited Scotland for 35 years watching wildlife and two years ago I thought how much more accessible the places I visit would be if I had a motorcycle. So in 2022 I gained my full licence. Since then I have been around the highlands four times in that time and always on a motorcycle. I'll be there again in August. There is so much more to the adventure than the official route and the best advice I would offer is to stop and look around. The wildlife as well as the scenery is something to behold.
  23. A bit of good luck for a change. Got a call to say they found a rear tyre and they fitted me in this afternoon. Michelin Road 6 were cheaper than the Metzeler so hope they are a decent tyre.
  24. I have asked him for alternatives like the 01SE. I really liked them on the other bike. I'll know soon enough.
