Had to smash a pane to get in. It was glued to the frame and just wouldn't come out so no choice really. Sorted the door release however so not too bad, at least I can access the bike.

Nothing if I can't get my garage door open. It is stuck fast and will not unlatch from it's fixings. I don't have a side door so I might have to take a window pane out to get inside. Brand new garage just for my new bike and it won't let me in!

59 for me please. -
Cleaned my bike, smothered it with AC50 and stored it away in my garage for the winter. I now have a battery optimiser; do I leave that running through this period or do I need to give it a break once in a while?

Making three trips to Sportsbikeshop Birmingham. Bought a Keis heated jacket and connectors for my Gerbing gloves. Got home, Gloves wouldn't work so went back to get some Keis gloves only to get home to find they wouldn't work either. Took it all back again to find it was the jacket at fault so swapped it for another one. Service was brilliant from the lads as SBS.

Just fitted a SW Motech top box that I won on the auction website for a tenner!!

I have the helite hi viz vest and as a new rider it gives me an extra bit of confidence whilst I become a better rider. I get angry with myself when I forget to tether myself to the leash. Expensive but what price safety?

My first year as a biker. Started end of March doing the NC500 + clockwise with deserted roads and glorious sunshine. Did it again, anti-clockwise in September. Spent nearly every Sunday over in Wales all unaccompanied. Approximately 7k miles and three bikes in. Just ordered a garage to park the new bike up for the winter. Roll on spring 2024.

Why am I getting wet

When the clothing can't breath you get an accumulation of sweat. Could it possibly be that? -
Fitted a Vantrue f1 forward and rear camera today. 4k front and 1080 rear. Must say the footage is good and the app brilliant.

Dropped my new bike. Two days in and I dropped it whilst pulling away in the car park. Only damage was my pride as I just happened to do it with 40 bikers watching me at the Foodstop Cafe in Bridgenorth. Luckily the panier held the bike off the floor so no harm done. Duffer!

Evening all. New bike arrives Friday and I would like to mount front & rear facing cameras. I use the Techalogic DC-1 front & rear camera on my helmet but looking to reduce weight and have a turn-key solution. I see the Vantrue F1 has some good reviews but always open to advice from the knowledgeable folk on here. Budget, around £400.

Thanks everyone for their input. I have covered three decent tours since March. Scotland twice and Wales once and often in the seat for 3 plus hours at a time. Despite having 5 spinal surgeries with bone grafted from my hips the only thing that hurts is me arris. If I could ride side-saddle I would. I pulled the trigger on a 23 plate Tracer 7 today and I can touch the floor ok so a gel seat of some kind might be in order even if I have to swap the comfort seat with a lowered seat to compensate. Is it something that you get used to as I'm a new biker of less than a year riding behind me.

I am about to purchase a new bike having sold my CF Moto 650MT. Can anyone can advise about the seat comfort on two bikes I have in mind Triumph Tiger sport 660 Yamaha Tracer 7 with comfort seat I loved my CF moto but as I do lots of touring I need a seat with comfort level above what I had before. I'm 5' 7" and around 11 stone. If anyone has either of these bikes I would like to ask how they get on with theirs on a comfort level. It really was the only reason for me to sell the CF Moto.

Have you seen the film "the ten commandments" where some biblical wizard parts the seas for people to walk through? I must be related because every morning I woke up to rain and wind only to get on the bike fully and be greeted with blue skies wherever I went. I had the same luck when I went clockwise in late March. I met some bikers in Mcdonalds in Fort William yesterday who said Glencoe was the wettest place on earth (they had just come from there). Well, half hour later the rain stopped and the roads dried out right on cue, if not quite as sunny as the trip down from Durness. That road from Durness to Drumbeg, good lord! The roads were busy which saw me divert from the more popular roads. Taking a break from the A9 up the east coast was a great decision. The old military road and then the road to Tomintoul was a bikers dream and then onto Durness via Lairg I saw hardly a soul. Great trip again with some lovely campsites too.

7 hours from Birmingham to Dumfries. M6 shut at one point. Been driving to Scotland every year for last 35 years and never seen anything like it. Will take the next 7 days to wind down.
