  5. If you dyno tested your bike and found it say 20bhp less than what its surpossed to be, then you'd know there was a problem for example. Or you might have fitted a new exhaust and want to know if it has increased your BHP by 0.00000000000000005%.

    NSR 125 Electrics

Next thing I'd try then is turn on the ignition, turn your lights on and start wiggling all the wires especially where they exit your ignition barrel, hopefully you'll get lucky and find a dodgy wire. If that doesn't work then my next step would be an auto-electrician.

  17. So is it still leaking since hes done this?
  18. Not without spending serious money
  19. Replacing the exhaust is the only way, either second hand or new
  20. I'm not sure if its the pipes that are leaking, you need to take things one step at a time. The most likely thing would be the pipes and also the easiest thing to fix, so start there. If its the actual pipe thats leaking, then you'd need a new pipe, but if its where the pipe is connected then maybe just tightening the jubilee clip would work.
  21. Its making sense now, jubilee clips are usually used to tighten pipes up. I'd just keep checking your coolant level. If it is leaking coolant then just follow the pipes coming out of your radiator and try and find the exact spot where they are leaking.
  22. Are you sure they were wires and not pipes? You should have a pipe or two sticking out the bottom of your bike that just dangle in thin air!
  23. If I remember right, you've took the carb off before now, did you put the fuel lines back on correctly including the clips because it might have slipped off somewhere. I had a 125 years ago where this happened and it still ran, but leaked petrol like there was no tomorrow. If its your wheel bearing thats squeaking then grease would be just the job (Use high temperature grease though). If its your forks then they use oil, and not just any oil but special fork oil. If you've never done forks before then I'd advise taking them to a shop. As for the revs staying up, if it was me I'd let a proffesional bike mechanic service it. I'm thinking that the fuel problem might even be related. When it comes to breaking the bridge on the CDI, before you do that I'd make sure its running perfect first.
  24. Firstly check your coolant level because my intial thought is its your coolant overflow or petrol overflow pipes that he's relocated.
  25. I think these are great, but never worn as shown in the picture. I think the fastening clip should be at the back of the rider, that way if it ever snapped or wasn't fully fastened the pillion would then fall into the back of the rider instead of off the bike. In the twenty years I've been riding and giving lots of pillion rides I've come to the conclusion size and weight don't really matter much. I've had heavy pillions (i.e 20 stone) that I couldn't even tell were there and I've had 10 stone pillions that were a nightmare. I always tell passengers never to lean and to stay perpendicular in relation to the bike. By doing this they are more like a piece of luggage and so I can compensate for the extra weight. When I was younger the one thing I always wanted to do was impress my passenger, and so I'd cane it everywhere, this usually resulted in them never wanting to be a passenger again. What I noticed with experience though, was its not how fast you go or how fast you accelerate that scares them, its how fast you take the bends. I've had plenty of inexperienced passengers who loved their first pillion ride on the back of my bike even though it was high speed and I accelerated as fast as it would go, I just take it real easy on the corners for them. I also cut out all the wheelies too
