  1. When I was sixteen I tried kick starting a bike for half an hour before I realised the kill switch was off!

    squeeky

So it squeaks when your slowing down, its probably your brake pads then seen as someone said they're nearly worn down. They usually wear on one edge more than the other, so sometimes they look okay but they're not. I'd change the pads first and see if the squeaking disappears. Don't use WD40 for the pads, infact don't use it for your suspension either

Does it squeak when you apply the brakes, or does it just squeak all the time?
  4. If your just planning to go down on the Sunday and back in one day and if the weathers good I'd be up for it
  5. Looks great
  6. Very good Do i win a prize?
  7. Very good
  8. Fair point. One of my mates prefers Eurosport and he used to say it's because they show the races live, but do you all know the BBC also show the races live even though its not advertised anywhere.
  9. Don't know how you can watch it on Eurosport with adverts every 3minutes and you can guarantee that something interesting is going to happen when they're on. I watch Motogp for the race, not to listen to some commentator.
  10. Sorted
  11. Just keep soaking it with WD40

    Basic electrics??

Looks like a block connector to me, notice how one of the wires changes from Black to Black and Blue
  14. Yeah, wasn't it because he was wearing an apron, marigolds and cleaning the track?
  15. Ah, now it makes sense, when I was sixteen and had a 50cc I'd have probably put one on too. I think the springs and rollers are inside the exhaust, but I'm guessing on that one. Mind out no coppers see you doing 45mph though!
  16. This One? Think it'll be two bolts where it fix's to the engine and one bolt further along, it should be really easy but you'll probably find all the nuts and bolts rusted so it'll be a complete nightmare. Is it really worth spending £80 to make it go 2mph quicker, you'd be better off saving that money for a bigger bike
  17. Different plugs run at different temperatures but thats all I know, I did put a different plug in one of my older bikes though and that always ran fine but I don't know if the plug would have been running hotter or colder.
  18. Bought a new spark plug 3 days ago mate. I don't know if the bike is derestricted or restricted yet and I've heard for the restricted version you mean a brg8-9 max and for the deristricted version you need a brg10 plug? I have the brg10 plug so this might be the incorrect one that's causing the problems? Maybe but I wouldn't have thought so, if you've still got the old plug give it a try see if that makes any difference
  19. Have you tried fitting a new spark plug?
  20. How did you manage to get it running again Ginge and are you sure you didn't trap any fuel hoses when you put the tank back on?
  21. He must have took a short cut, cause he beat us home by hours
  22. Sorry we lost you, but looks like you managed to get back before us anyway. Nice to meet you Pumilio, we'll have to do it again sometime.
