  1. But they don't look at the V5 do they?
  2. 5w 40
  3. It's going to be dry and perfect weather for biking i.e not too hot for leathers!
  4. Is anyone up for a ride out tomorrow then?
  5. Thats why I like the B5053 and B5054, never seen any plod down there
  6. Surely it's far easier just to say "it's the road between Buxton and Chapel en le frith!"
  7. Hows about we meet at the Cat & Fiddle and go to Matlock Bath, along some of my favourite roads B5053 and B5054?
  8. What time were you thinking?
  9. Yes, the engine takes a four stroke oil, it probably say's in the manual which ones the best though. Also once you've had the barrel sorted out and put it all back together, I'm not sure but there might be a certain oil you need whilst you run it in, although I'm no expert, I've never rebuilt a two stroke.
  10. It cost me about £500 to have a gearbox repaired. If it is your gearbox and one of the cogs has lost some teeth, the teeth will be floating about and could cause it to seize up, so be careful if your riding it. Personally I wouldn't use it.
  11. wow just scare the cr@p right out him why dont you could be as simple as tightening the chain to the gearbox is fooooked more info needed m8, which side and what kind of noise I know, but he says its only in first gear so I doubt its anything to do with the chain
  12. If it is your gearbox, then yes, and it'll be serious money
  13. Don't take this as gospel, but it sounds to me like a few teeth have come off first gear, in which case it could lock up at any moment.
  14. Acccording to Junes Fast Bikes it is Bout time they made a decent looking bike
  15. Probably but tbh I've no idea, I'd try going on a Cagiva forum! http://www.125ccsportsbikes.com/
  16. Is that really a BMW?
  17. Definately need to sort out the cylinder, and you'll need a new piston and rings including a full gasket set
  18. Before you do anything, it might be a good idea to get yourself a manual:- Click Here or Click Here
  19. Nice one!
  20. I'd replace the spark plug next then, because its cheap. I've had loads of plugs over the years that have broke, and some that seemed to spark but the bike ran terrible.
  21. Like Justarider say's, you have all the main things working, but obviously something is wrong. Firstly, I don't know how you checked your compression, but is it over 140psi? If it is, then the next thing I'd do is fit a new spark plug! If that doesn't work, I'd then probably take it to a shop Sorry I can't be any more help, but its tricky over the internet.
  22. Its here:- The Horseshoe Pass Llangollen LL20 8DR http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/
  23. Come on this:- http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=11102

  25. Setting off from the Ponderosa about 11-11.30am Obviously this is weather dependant! Maybe even carry on to Betws-y-coed. Oh and for me this ride would start out from Macclesfield, so if there was one or two that needed meeting at the Cat & Fiddle first then thats no problem.
