Its sticky so it'll stick to your chain obviously, but in reality the chain heats up when your riding which makes the stuff less sticky and also with the help of centrifugal force ends up flying off onto your back wheel. Thats why I think you might as well use normal oil

They've had it since they lost F1, before that it was very hit or miss if they showed it

Best tip is don't use that sticky shit to oil your chain, just use normal engine oil, it flies off quite quick but at least its easy to clean your back wheel!

Lol, I watch F1 too and I find it funny that you haven't mentioned driver skill, probably quite rightly too, and yet in Motogp I say rider skill is probably at least 50% of the equation if not more. Put a bad rider on the best bike and he will not win, put a good rider on a bad bike and it sure is fun to watch!

I had an exhaust that had that taken off once and it looked a mess which kind of makes it obvious what had been done. Whatever you do, you want it to look like it came from the manufacturers like that, a rivet band sounds a good idea but it might look odd because you only really get one at each end. Maybe a better solution would be to remove the original rivet band from the end, cut down the sleeve and then re-rivet the end back on.

I was thinking bearings at first, at least until you mentioned your chain. If your chain has come off or if its knackered anyway then I'd recommend the first thing you do is buy a new chain and sprockets. Secondly, you say your chain is tight, this worries me, because I wouldn't really call a correctly fitted chain "tight".
