Its just not worth the hassle of trying to make a 125 go any faster.

They're surposed too, but it knackered mine. If you use the bike regularly you don't need to charge it. Over winter my battery looses it's charge after about two months, so I charge it for 12 hours and its fine for another two months.

It says you can in the instructions and is surpossed to turn off etc..., but I fitted a new battery to a bike once and that particular year I only used the bike half a dozen times. The rest of the time it was connected to the optimate, and after one year the battery was useless.

Hope its not the KE125 I owned 21 years ago! If it is, the wirings f***ed, thats why I got shot of it!

It could be the Optimate ruining your battery. I've killed a battery or two using mine, now I just use it if the batteries low, and only for 12-15 hours max

There's usually enough charge in a new battery to start your bike, in which case your bike will then charge it fully.

I like that route too, the tarmacs a bit bumpy but the unlimted speed limit makes up for it, think some of it is the A3!

Just shows what bollocks manufacturers come out with, Schuberth say "whisper quiet 86.5dB at 62mph" which translates to "the noisiest lid I have ever worn" Was going to buy a Schuberth too, but they didn't sell them where I went so ended up with a Duchinni which I'm glad I did now.

If you ride it without one of the tensioners, make sure the one that is fitted is on the side that carry's the sprocket and don't nail it. I'm sure most breakers would have these in stock, if not try searching for "motorcycle breaker macclesfield", I think they have them in stock.

I've got a pair of Alpinestars and Sidi's, and the Sidi's are far better in terms of comfort, looks and price.

They do seem to be bike specific though, are you sure they gave you the correct one?

You could try it on in the shop first, find out the size and then order it mail order, and as Blakeatron says it could have been dropped before it reaches the shop shelves. As for defects, well you can return faulty products. I do agree though that sometimes its just easier and more convienent going to your local shop.
