  1. Lol, yeah they would, but I heard how much they were!
  2. They look cool. Kerrrr-ching!
  3. If it was running hot you probably had an airlock, or maybe the water pump was broke. Unfortunately now its got major problems. You really need someone to take it apart before you can consider if its cheaper just to buy a new engine.
  4. Some helmets are definately better than others, although its a pain whatever helmet you've got compared to having contact lenses.

  6. As Bill said you can do it with your wheel moving but make sure you only turn it with your hand and do it slowly, otherwise you can trap your fingers between the chain and sprocket, which is really not pleasant!
  7. All oil seems to come off your chain and end up on the back wheel regardless if its a spray in a can stuff. This is why I always use old engine oil because its so much easier to clean off. I always do it manually with one of these Oil Cans
  8. Have you tried looking in Aldi or that other cheapo supermarket (can't remember the name)
  9. I have a dark visor and never carry a clear one, also never been stopped for it either. I do have a spare helmet at home though with a clear visor, for when I'm riding at night.
  10. As much as I like Rossi, would love to see Lorenzo win this year.
  11. Would do, but I don't pick my bike up till next weekend
  12. Wouldn't bother, especially if your trying to locate a problem.
  13. Sounds to me like wheel balancing
  14. Lol, thats nearly every weekend
  15. I try, but my mouse has this uncontrollable urge to click on the racing thread and start hovering over posts.
  16. Yeah I know, but I just happened to hover over it before I watched the qualifying
  17. The 800's are hand made specials, its World Superbikes and British Superbikes that use R1's etc...
  18. Korben, when you show a spoiler mate, make sure you write a few lines before it, so when I hover over the post before clicking on it, it doesn't show the result. Cheers bud!

    Slipping Clutch

Could be clutch plates or springs, or even a worn clutch basket (but I doubt it). My experience of changing clutch plates are its incredibly easy, but I'm not sure how difficult it is on your bike.
  20. They tend to be ok for upto a 125cc, but they do come apart sometimes. With larger bikes I usually fit a new chain and sprockets myself, fit the split link, then ride to the motorbike shop so they can fit a rivet link for me.
  21. I'm not saying its a great idea having a £5 helmet, but if he's skint then its a start. I'm sure as time moves on he'd love to buy a brand new helmet that nobody else has worn. Imagine if you were young, just bought a motorbike, managed to insure it and bought yourself a helmet from a carboot, I know if it was me I would be iching to get out riding and no amount of wise words from anybody would stop me. Its just if you read this thread and some others just like it, some of you make it sound as though if you haven't got a Gundam Motorbike Helmet (http://www.bornrich.org/entry/2500-gundam-motorcycle-helmet/) then your going to have a catastrophic accident.
  22. That's not an insult mate. That's a smilie showing he agree's with you... We have it on as it's funny.
