  1. Cheap leathers from ebay. less than £100 if you're lucky. edit: by cheap i meant second hand, not cheap and unheard of.
  2. if you are lucky enough to already have a rainy day fund, i'd pay off the bike and then either: Get the Triumph instead of it or Go on Holiday.
  3. It's standard. I'm sure i remember reading a question in bike or mcn 8ish years back asking the same thing (vegan wanting to do a track day) and they answered that some places were thinking about it. I guess it never happened, probably because it's easier to assume quality of leathers - after all leather is generally about 1mm+ thick, but textiles can be anything and what organiser has time to inspect all users kit on top of helmet checking?
  4. *is not jealous* Have fun you two.
  5. Well done. Enjoy the bike hunt
  6. Good luck tomorrow. I think that trick about 3rd is what Gayle was told to do as well.
  7. Cheers, Problem is i don't like the 'sorted by plugging/unplugging' I 'fixed' Gayles gsxr starting problem the same way, but it always leaves you wondering what the heck it was and will it come back. Would kind of have preferred to find out it was a difference in wattage and get a definite answer!
  8. So, I think the issueat have been loose connections, the previous owner did a bodge job on the front indicators to get round triumphs odd connections (bullets with odd casings). I only touched the standard ones nearest the indicators when replacing. My unplugging and checking and rearranging.seems to have cured the problem and hopefully it won't be back!
  9. Sorry, misread in a rush just before finishing lunch. Still need to check.
  10. This could be it. I didn't know what the originals are but i think the new ones are 12v. Thanks.
  11. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've replaced the front indicators on my S4 after an accident and the indicators now flash rapidly as they would if a bulb was out (but one isn't). None of the indicators are LED, but I was wondering if maybe they are different voltages and maybe that's throwing a spanner in the works? Has anyone had similar? I'm guessing if i stick a new front on the rear wiring (ie on the same side as the one i left on the front) i should be able to test my theory or can anyone see a flaw there? Thanks, Ed
  12. piece of piss changing the chain. it's just the sprocket carrier on Gayles gsxr that messed things up for us. I'll dig out our chain splitter/riveter and see if its still usable. i think that it was rounding off a little.
  13. In your case i'd definitly go the DAS route. Unless you have no other transport and NEED a bike then get the 125, but i'd still look at doing DAS in any case.
  14. Looks like a good day. 3's the best of the photos. Really gives a sense of speed.
  15. just watching them now. looks good to start with. have you dunked it in water yet to see if it's really waterproof?
  16. How long does the battery last? I'm thinking that i(we) need to buy one more cheap one an small memory card for Gayle's car and then look to get a better (waterproof) one with either replaceable batteries or aa/aaa batteries for on the bikes.
  17. Tey these guy's? http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category/ca ... met-visors
  18. No, you've already got a built in sunvisor. Or just splash some cash and get a separate tinted one so you have one for night time too.
  19. They're good but I don't miss it overly. in fact id say the caberg one is too dark when you go through shade. My tinted visor is dark/light enough to use most of the time but I'm glad I have the clear one too.
  20. Yeah it definitely helpswith being blinded.
  21. we really liked the road to the glen cafe too. all the roads round moffat seem good.
  22. Sorry but i didn't mean 'just swap the jets you'll be fine' i was just trying to suggest another avenue to look down other than a dynojet kit. Another route to investigate, if the op or anyone else wants to do a half arsed job with out reading up then that's their bad.
  23. you cant just put a bigger jet in a bike and expect it to be fine needle hight has a lot of affect on the fuelling you cant guess these things they have to be done right otherwise you are pissing in the wind That's why I said first step. I can't remember exactly what the differences are, but it should put the op on a possible path.
