  1. PC, you're not a good enough stalker! http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... =3&t=45204
  2. One day! that'll be the bike run in then?! Tried getting hold of you today for a run. drop me a line when you're free.
  3. Unless they've dramatically improved, iphone music playback with bluetooth on (not even via) was meant to be terrible. I'd maybe look at getting a wired solution.
  4. On the plus side you got your own shield if you need it! I got a watch off ebay and am pretty happy with it, but maybe i was just lucky.
  5. Looking at the reviews of the Jacket and trousers they seem good and size true so I'd be pretty confident of everything but the helmet. Having recently been helmet shopping (for a shark) I ended up with an HJC as i just didn't have a shark head. After previously having Shoei, Arai, Caberg too I'd certainly suggest at least making a trip to go try on the helmet if nothing else.
  6. That's not the one Gayle has, but all RST stuff looks to be well made.
  7. You'd hope they do but no. I've not got much experience with different kit, but Held & Halvarsons/Jafoma only fits itself, RST I think fits with Wolf in some cases, (Although in administration at the moment) Hein Gericke seems to fit with itself but they have crotch straps on many jackets which mean you don't need to zip up. I can see why they do it - in case you only need to replace e.g. the trousers you are locked in. If the Hi-viz RST is the Paragon 3 then it's the one Gayle's just bought and seems really good value for money. Ian, the Paragon II has been replaced with the III, mine is this one, It has a separate waterproof liner which helps stop some wind getting through but also means you can have the vents open and not get wet. I have found however that you need to be careful making sure you get your gloves under the liner or you'll have wet hands.
  8. Maybe we just ride when all the idiots do! Even in the car today had someone in a transit look at Gayle and then just pull out.
  9. Talking about air about you in the warm, i just bought the RST adventure Pro-series and it's phenomenal the amount of airflow those chest panels give.
  10. Makes you really wonder about how Ride test their products. It's not like the VFR750 is a particularly odd shape.
  11. RST comes with good back armour, but e.g. Halversons don't I think, the theory being they think you'd be better off buying a decent protector like a forcefield. Also Just because it comes with armour doesn't mean it will be good, looking at what my wolf leathers came with compared to even a cheap £15 protector is a world of difference; although i crashed fine in them with no complaints that it didn't do it's job.
  12. It was great. IIRC not as hot as September, but nice and sunny and very warm. My mate who I was visiting and I were sitting outside at about midnight in t-shirts which should give you some idea how nice it was.

  14. I'm sure you'll love it, when we went in September we got a predictable 30 minutes (nice warm) rain each day, but I've been in November and didn't have any rain. Fingers crossed it's the latter for you, but either way it'll still be great.

    Religion

To be honest I don't really care, so long as it fulfils it's aims of making the believer a better person (through heaven/hell, reincarnation as something/one better etc). Also there should be no need to ram it down other peoples throats. Having said that i think most of them fail at the above.
  16. On your test, I'm not sure but i usually go as wide as is safe, but i usually pull in the clutch and coast past to give the least possible noise. Speed wise it really depends on how much i can safely scrub off.
  17. Watch out with the car hire that they give you all the damage waivers, extra driver etc. I think we found we were better off buying it separately (£250-300 for the 2 weeks) but that was unlimited mileage, full tank of gas, 2 drivers, and all the insurance covers so we didn't have to worry other than a small excess should the worst happen. http://www.floridacarhire.com/ Also, I would suggest not taking them up on the prepaid toll road thing they offer. We took it to save money/time on our drive to the keys, but I think we barely broke even.
  18. A general tip, but if you know there's something you are after to bring home, then order it from amazon.com and have it sent to the hotel. You'll save on the state sales tax. obviously not so practical with clothes, but camera gear etc it works a treat. We did it with lenses and they were waiting for us when we arrived.
  19. Also they put on bands in Universal studios so it might be worth checking out whose playing when you want to go. We missed Barenaked Ladies buy a week, who would have been great again (in our opinion obviously).
  20. Definitely. Eating is very cheap, as is nearly everything else. Parks (other then Disney) can be had on a good value ticket. We spent about $600 iirc on 2 weeks food, additional hotel nights & petrol including a trip to the keys and back. Gayle is giving a much more detailed answer, but if you want any links to the sites we used let us know.
