Same as last year folks, we're happy to offer a bed for the night to anyone wanting to get the tags in this area - Shropshire/West Midlands/Wales. We've got a couple of spare rooms, and there's always the garden to put a tent up in if needed - I'll possibly even throw in a spot of breakfast if you ask nicely! In return a donation to the forum would be nice. If anyone else can offer somewhere to stay to a fellow biker please add to this thread.

I used to use Nikwax on the ex's fishing gear - washed with the wash treatment and then used the wash-in reproofing stuff. I used the spray-on treatment as well on places prone to more use/leaking, so you could try doing that - double proofing!

Don't feel bad about it - there is no actual pass/fail as it's traqining not an exam. The slow manouveurs (?) are tricky for a lot of people - I was the same as yourself, got really cross with myself which made it worse! It will come to you!! The instructor was probably right not taking you out if the weather was dodgy and it would've been starting to get dark when you finished. No matter! If they're a good training school they should just let you go back and finish the training FOC on another day, and you'll feel fresher as well.

I'm not totally sure of the new laws in France - Rennie rode to Spain 5 years ago so may be able to help with some stuff. The main motorways are toll roads, but there are plenty of dual carriageways that are non-toll, some of them run alongside the toll roads!! Someone may correct me if I'm wrong but I've got a feeling that you might not be able to ride abroad on a restricted licence though!!

Actually getting to spend time with Rennie, after he's been working all hrs for the last 4 weeks! Pub tonight with live band if they're any good, if not another pub for karaoke.
