  1. Welcome aboard. There are often ridouts from London down into Kent. Phil young organises most of them and he lives isle of dogs so not far from you.
  2. That Mobius is very dodgy gadget, cant find a decent website where to buy it, either dodgy website, or reviews horrible ;/ just puts me off buying it. + no waterproof case including. :/ where did you buy yours? its not dodgy at all. for the price its a fantastic little camera. for the price of a gopro you could probably buy three of them! Ultimately you need to be honest about what you want the camera for. if you want broadcast quality footage, then the GoPro wins hands down on quality, but it is bulky and you look a nob with it stuck to your helmet or in you car window. If you just want an evidence camera to record the idiots on the road, then you don't need to shell out loads of money for broadcast quality equipment and the Mobius or other cheap cameras are perfectly adequate. Also you dont want to leave anything too expensive on display in your car else it will get stolen. The Mobius can easily be hidden away out of sight - the Gopro cant. And there is a waterproof case for the mobius.. If you want good honest reviews of cameras, check out Techmoan's youtube channel: ">
  3. For 150 you could buy 2x Mobius action cameras and have plenty of change.. Fix one in the car and the other on the bike. GoPro are good cameras but too bulky for inside your windscreen.
  4. When I was a lad I stole a house for sale sign and chopped that up to make the rear l-plate backing. The corrugated platstic they use is ideal
  5. Even the police dont know: http://www.policespecials.com/forum/ind ... motorbike/
  6. Worth a try. If you are stopped explain the situation and that you'll resolve it as soon as possible. Make sure the rear l-plate is correct though. I bet you the price of a new l-plate you won't get stopped for a mudguard mounted l-plate... Doesnt mean its strictly legal though.
  7. Technically yea it does but you see loads stuck to mudguards. Alternative is to make a bracket to mount it from the front wheel nut.
  8. I'd get a sticky one and stick it on the front mudguard. Thats how I had it on my DT50.
  9. RST gear is generally pretty good, but the cheaper you go the less insulated it will be - not a problem with summer coming! I think you really need to go and find a shop where you can speak to the staff and try stuff on. you cant get a good idea of biking gear from the internet alone, and you certainly wont get the sizes right!
  10. Ive just bought a Richa Canyon jacket for 99quid. Seems pretty well made, good quality textile jacket. Worth a look.
  11. congrats, the MotoCage is a sexy looking bike
  12. If they see you being sick on the camera it will likely be let off unless the person watching is a totally heartless bast*rd. yep, thats what im hoping... wish i'd taken a photo, it was pretty epic yellow coloured puke!! it tasted ok too, so wasnt an entirely unpleasant experience.
  13. Are you sure the units still work whilst on charge Joe? I thought that the lights on the unit go red when being charged then turn blue when fully charged. Surely this will deactivate the unit during this period. Not sure to be honest mate. device dependent probably. The headset i had for listening to music let me power it whilst it was working. I used a phone battery pack and a long usb lead. Worth a test
  14. If you want power to your BT headset whist riding, another options is one of those emergency power packs for mobile phones. You could easily keep that in your pocket and have a lead up to your headset. Not wired to the bike then so free to get on/off without snagging wires. Just a thought.
  15. I'm pretty sure my helmet squashes my cheeks too much to be able to talk as freely as he does. I do wonder if some of the audio is dubbed on afterwards? Some great vids he does though so I dont care, just curious how his voice is so clear whilst riding.
  16. Dunno yet mate. Stopping in the red route bus lane is a finable offence.. Time will tell...
  17. do you have a multimeter and do you know how to use it with mains voltage? should be pretty easy to trace the fault
  18. why does the new battery need charging?
  19. right, decision made... Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy Kriega Drybag US20 from?
  20. shoeis are normally very good.. basically slam the visor closed, then pull the lever down to open it up a little.
  21. tried moving the little lever on the left? Page 4... "Preset Lever" http://www.shoei-helmets.com/support/manuals/QWEST.pdf
  22. I tried on those richa gloves at the excel bike show last week. Very comfy and warm feeling.
  23. Nope, the screw will slip through one half and screw into the other. If they were both threaded they wouldn't pull together when you tighten the screw.
  24. Yep, drill the heads off and grab the stump with mole grips.
  25. Had some dodgy lemon curd on toast this morning. Drove into central London and had to pull over in a red route buss lane to throw up!! Probably gonna be the most expensive lemon curd on toast ever..
